Let's get to know what the New Victory Circus was.

Dear friends, we are still around here exploring every corner of the city looking for those beautiful constructions to share them with you.
A few days ago I went jogging through the historic center of the city and passed by the bullring, when I saw it I realized that I had not yet told you about this construction so I decided to stop by again and take some pictures to bring them and talk a little about this monument.
The city of La Victoria in the state of Aragua in Venezuela has always been under the political and military influence of the country perhaps thanks to the battle of the youth that was very important in the independence struggle or because of its strategic location near Caracas and Valencia.
Thanks to this we have in the city many heritage buildings of the country's history, ending the 1800s and early 1900s the president of the time Cipriano Castro made a lot of life in the city where he even had his own residence that today is the house of culture.
Later in the mandate of General Juan Vicente Gómez, due to his rivalry and hatred towards the previous president, he had a certain rejection towards the city, but this was not enough for his brother, Coronel Gonzáles Gómez Bello, to order the construction of the ** Nuevo Circo de la Victoria**.
This gentleman was a great lover of this sport and if he liked the city very much, in the new circus of the Victory great events were held over the years with visits of great characters of this medium.
Already in more modern and current years it served as a stage for cultural and recreational activities in the city.
Its construction is a combination of adobe bricks with concrete accompanied by a large steel and wood structure, is a fairly strong construction that despite the neglect of the municipal government is still standing waiting to shine.
It is a very rustic construction, for now it is closed and abandoned, so it was impossible for me to take pictures of its internal part, where the concrete and wooden bleachers and the tunnel for the bulls to pass through to the patio are located.
It has a large area that was used as a parking lot for the trucks that transported the bulls and for the bullfighters.
This is how it looks today from the outside, you can also see that it had two entrances to the public as well as two ticket booths which makes me think that it had an influx of people at the time of events.
Inside the lockers I was able to take a picture where what I could see was a large amount of garbage due to years of neglect and disuse.
The main entrance still retains traces of painting of the murals that represented the one that can be seen is a representation of General José Félix Ribas.
In spite of being a rustic construction it has some decorative details of the period that among so much simplicity stand out to the eye.
I hope that soon some entity of the municipal government with a sense of belonging to the city wants to rescue these spaces or for bullfights but to rescue the cultural values that do not make us what we are today.

It is always good to preserve the cultural values of emblematic sites, it is unfortunate that this old circom so iconic and with a historical and cultural value is so neglected and abandoned, at least as a museum would be great for the structure of which it is made, that despite having no maintenance is still standing.
Yes, and because it is a very rustic architecture it does not require so much investment because it does not have so many details.
Well investing isn't bad but it still requires more effort to complete 💯

It is the need of the hour to protect such heritages which are going to destruction with historical as well as cultural value. Looking at this precious heritage, I think how many cultural heritages in the world are going to destruction like this. It would have been wonderful if even the old murals had been renovated.
Yes, it is a real shame and there are countries like Venezuela with its civil wars and wars of independence, many monuments suffered consequences.
Greetings @soychalbed, it is a pity that an architectural work of great importance is in such conditions, if you look at it well it has potential to house a museum, history house, house of culture among other institutions that promote cultural development and its preservation.
The design is simple but striking especially the circular windows and the small balcony, certainly a beautiful building with great stories.
