Llegamos a la última semana de los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, San Salvador 2023. En lo más alto del medallero 5 países sacan ventaja por encima de los demás y los vamos a analizar uno por uno como corresponde. 1° México, 2° Cuba, 3° Colombia, 4° Venezuela y 5° Puerto Rico.

En la anterior edición en Barranquilla, Colombia en 2018 el podio fue para: 1° México con 341 medallas (132 de Oro, 118 de plata y 91 de bronce), 2° Cuba con 242 medallas (102 de Oro, 74 de Plata y 60 de bronce). 3° Colombia con 270 medallas (79 de Oro, 94 de Plata y 97 de Bronce), 4° Venezuela con 155 medallas (34 de Oro, 48 de Plata y 73 de Bronce), 5° República Dominicana con 107 medallas (25 de Oro, 29 de Plata y 53 de Bronce). 6° Guatemala con 84 medallas (21 de Oro, 22 de Plata y 41 de Bronce), 7° Puerto Rico con 87 medallas (20 de Oro, 29 de Plata y 38 de Bronce). Así que también realizaré el análisis de los cambios hasta ahora en el medalleron con respecto al último evento centroamericano.

Análisis de los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, San Salvador 2023, país por país:

1° México: La representación mexicana se ve sólida en el medallero con 211 preseas comenzando la semana con 88 de Oro, 64 de Plata y 59 de Bronce. Han ganado en múltiples disciplinas como por ejemplo natación, 10m rifle masculino, béisbol, om nium varonil de ciclismo, varias en raquetbol ambos géneros, caminata ambos géneros, gimnasia artística, ciclismo de pista, pentatlón moderno, vela, varias en atletismo, basquetbol femenino 3x3, esgrima, boliche, gimnasia rítmica, skeet femenino, clavados, tiro deportivo, marcha y tienen una gran ventaja sobre los demás países participantes para culminar de primeros en los centroamericanos. (Estarían cumpliendo como en la edición pasada obteniendo el primer lugar con buena diferencia de medallas).

2° Colombia: La representación cafetera ya tiene 48 medallas de Oro, 44 de Plata y 37 de Bronce, para un total de 129 preseas al comenzar la semana, donde se destacan las medallas en Halterofilia o levantamiento de pesas, boxeo, clavados, keirin femenino, ciclismo de pista, natación, boliche, lucha grecorromana, natación artística, espada individual, entre otros... (Cuentan con una ventaja mínima sobre Cuba y de conservar éste puesto en el medallero estarían superando lo logrado en los centroamericanos pasados donde quedaron de terceros).

3° Cuba: La representación antillana está peleando de lleno con Colombia el segundo puesto, tienen luego de culminada la semana 110 medallas, 46 de Oro, 29 de Plata y 35 de Bronce. Han ganado medallas en varias disciplinas como la lucha grecorromana, atletismo, lucha libre masculina, sunfish de vela, tenis de mesa ambos géneros, varias en lucha, halterofilia, natación, tiro, remos, cuádruple scull femenino, entre otros... (En la edición anterior culminaron de segundos por delante de Colombia, al finalizar la semana veremos como terminaron los cubanos en éste duelo cabeza a cabeza con los colombianos en el medallero).

4° Venezuela: La representación venezolana tiene un total de 93 medallas, 16 son de Oro, 29 de Plata y 48 de Bronce al culminar la jornada del Domingo. La mayoría de sus logros han sido en halterofilia, maratón, lucha libre masculina, judo, natación, lucha y por ahí viene la atleta más esperada en el evento que es Yulimar Rojas en el salto triple donde es ultra favorita. (Los venezolanos quedaron en la edición pasada de cuartos y de continuar así estarían empatando sus registros, sólo faltará ver la cantidad de medallas logradas al final ya que luce complicado que lleguen a 34 medallas de Oro como en 2018).

5° Puerto Rico: De manera sorpresiva ésta representación está por encima de la República Dominicana. Puerto Rico tiene 14 medallas de Oro, 18 de Plata y 25 de Bronce para 57 en total. Los dominicanos 67 medallas en total, 9 de Oro, 23 de Plata y 35 de Bronce. La diferencia han sido las medallas de Oro donde los boricuas han ganado en Baloncesto 3x3 masculino, lucha masculina, pero principalmente el poderío femenino ha sacado la cara por ellos, ganaron en voleibol de playa femenino, ecuestre femenino, boxeo femenino, natación femenina y atletismo. (Están a tan sólo 2 medallas de Venezuela lo cual sería una gran sorpresa en el centroamericano porque nadie creía antes de iniciar el evento que Puerto Rico llegaría a la última semana sacándole 6 medallas de Oro a Dominicana).

Análisis Final:

Los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe que comenzaron el 23 de Julio en San Salvador culminarán éste Sábado 8 de Julio de 2023. Por lo que ésta semana será la última del evento. Cuba quienes en 2014 dominaron el medallero han visto como México les ha sacado ventaja muy fácil, además tanto los cubanos, como los colombianos y venezolanos han bajado en la producción de medallas con respecto a eventos anteriores. México se ha apoderado del medallero y con una amplia diferencia.

En conclusión tenemos que México llegaría en el primer puesto del medallero, que la lucha por el segundo puesto entre Colombia y Cuba no se definirá si no hasta los últimos juegos, que la pelea por el cuarto lugar entre Venezuela y Puerto Rico pasa igual. Entre ambos duelos por posiciones en el medallero la diferencia es tan sólo de 2 preseas de oro. Así que todo puede pasar. Que espectáculo de verdad nos regalará en lo deportivo y humano éste prestigioso torneo, como para no perdérselo.

Final Analysis:

The Central American and Caribbean Games that began on July 23 in San Salvador will end this Saturday, July 8, 2023. Therefore, this week will be the last week of the event.
