La historia de mi visión en lentes y tendencias 🤓 [Spa - Eng]

Comencé a usar lentes a los 21 años después de graduarme en técnico en informática y pensé que había perdido mi visión por pasar horas sentada frente al computador, tal vez tuvo que ver, pero ahora acepto que los lentes estaban en mi destino.

Usé desde los 21 años hasta los 32 cuando decidí operarme con láser y quitar la miopía y el astigmatismo, la principal razón era porque me costaba mucho encontrar monturas que me quedaran bien y me gustarán tengo ojos grandes y rostro delgado, en ese tiempo se usaban los lentes pequeños y al aire, usé varios en ese lapso de tiempo y después de operarme guardé la última montura que tenía porque estaban en buen estado y me gustaba, son las que muestro en la fotografía y pienso regalar.

Otra razón por la que quería operarme era que deseaba maquillarme y lucir mis ojos maquillados sin lentes, pero lo cierto es que dejé de hacerlo. Cuando me operé el doctor si me dijo que estaría sin lentes unos 15 años porque mis ojos tenían un envejecimiento prematuro y que calculaba que a los 45 años me llegaría la presbicia 😪 lo vi lejos, sin embargo el tiempo pasa rápido y el doctor no se equivocó, más o menos en ese tiempo me volvió el astigmatismo y ahora la presbicia 🤓.

Desde hace algunos años la tendencia es usar lentes grandes, y los modelos que hay no me gustan mucho; hace poco me regalon unas monturas y como a caballo regalo no se le mira el colmillo hago mención de este refrán popular porque recibí un regalo de una prima que trabajaba en una óptica y me envió dos monturas que me salvaron la visión, ya que no contaba con el dinero en ese momento si me gustaban o no pasó a segundo plano. Tengo una nueva montura por estrenar cuando se dañe la que uso, en realidad me pongo los lentes para escribir y leer, cada día los uso más porque me estaba dando estrabismo de un ojo debió a síntoma del ojo vago, producto de la presbicia.

No me saco fotos con lentes, ni salgo a la calle con ellos puestos, aunque debería. Ahora es moda usar lentes y así como el celular que es un objeto que ya forma parte de nosotros, solo queda acostumbrarse. Lo bueno es que en la actualidad casi todos tenemos lentes, es extraño encontrar a una persona que no los use, ¿cuéntame si eres de los que usan lentes?

I started wearing glasses at the age of 21 after graduating as a computer technician, and I thought I had lost my eyesight from spending hours sitting in front of the computer. Maybe that had something to do with it, but now I accept that glasses were my destiny.

I wore them from the age of 21 until 32, when I decided to have laser surgery to correct my myopia and astigmatism. The main reason was that I had a hard time finding frames that fit me well and that I liked. I have large eyes and a thin face, and at that time, small, open-frame glasses were in style. I wore several pairs during that time, and after my surgery, I kept the last pair I had because they were in good condition and I liked them. They are the ones I show in the photograph, and I plan to give them away.

Another reason I wanted to have surgery was that I wanted to wear make-up and show off my eyes without glasses, but the truth is that I stopped doing so. When I had the operation, the doctor told me that I would be without glasses for about 15 years because my eyes were ageing prematurely and that he estimated that I would develop presbyopia at the age of 45 😪. It seemed a long way off, but time flies and the doctor was right. Around that time, my astigmatism returned and now I have presbyopia 🤓.

For some years now, the trend has been to wear large glasses, and I don't really like the models available. I was recently given some frames, and since you don't look a gift horse in the mouth, I mention this popular saying because I received a gift from a cousin who worked in an optician's and sent me two frames that saved my vision, as I didn't have the money at the time, so whether I liked them or not took a back seat. I have a new pair of frames to use when the ones I wear get damaged. Actually, I wear glasses to write and read, and I use them more and more every day because I was developing a squint in one eye due to lazy eye, a symptom of presbyopia.

I don't take photos with my glasses on, nor do I go out in public wearing them, although I should. Nowadays, it's fashionable to wear glasses and, just like mobile phones, which are now part of our lives, we just have to get used to them. The good thing is that nowadays almost everyone wears glasses, so it's strange to find someone who doesn't. Are you one of those people who wear glasses?
