Many GU players heard about this airdrop but we couldn't get it since there was some error. They've solved the problem. I have already received 111.1 $STRK worth around 130$ nowadays.

If you doubt, let's check it together:

Go to https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/starknet to see $STRK token page, check the official website of the coin. It's starknet.io. So everything posted on starknet.io is legit.

Another check:

Go to https://market.immutable.com/ and, in the very bottom, you'll find this:

On StarkWare.Co you'll find this page: https://starkware.co/starknet/ saying that starknet.io is StarkNet Hub. Thus, starknet.io is legit.

Check if you are eligible

Check here: https://provisions.starknet.io/ Connect your Metamask which you use for playing GU. This way:

After that, if you are eligible, you'll see this:

To get these tokens, you must have a Starknet wallet - you can't claim it with Metamask. I installed and used Argent X on Firefox. Unlike Braavos wallet (another popular option), Argent has a button "Claim the Airdrop":

Click on it - that will bring you to provisions.starknet.io, and, then, claim the tokens.

Some people have had a smooth experience but some complain that they couldn't claim for a while. I was one of the latter.

Potential problem

The problem was that my Metamask was eligible for the airdrop but you can't claim the airdrop with Metamask. You only can claim it with a Starknet wallet, for example, Argent X. But, when I connected my Argent X to the airdrop website instead of Metamask, I had a message "this wallet isn't eligible to claim the airdrop".

How to solve it

Try to connect BOTH wallets. When you succeed, you'll see this:

Look at the top right: ETH and Starknet addresses - my Metamask and Argent.

How I did it? I don't have an answer. 😄 I just kept connecting and reconnecting wallets, kept clicking "Claim the airdrop" on Argent Wallet. At some moment, I saw two wallets connected as in the screenshot above.

After I saw 2 wallets connected, I clicked "Claim airdrop" on Argent. It brought to me back to the website, and I saw this:

Look at the bottom right: "claim your tokens", this is what we needed. After that you'll see a description what Starknet is and you'll be asked two simple questions to prove you aren't a bot. Just to give you an idea, that's what one of my questions:

Answer two questions and finish claiming. The happy end!

Is It Safe to Connect Metamask to Starknet Websites?

No idea, I am not a specialist but common sense tells that, if Immutable X is powered by Starknet, you can't call Starknet's devs beginners or stuff. But of course, anything can happen to anything; in any case, it's your decision to connect or not to connect.
