Contradictory quotes: Which do we follow our dear philosophers, hehe.

Philosophers are wise or perhaps they're meant to be wise I think? Nah, I know or rather I grew up to know, lol but then, lately I feel they aren't wise but just confused, hehe... It's for Comedy, don't think about it, they may be wise actually, lol

I was just sitting down on my grandfather's couch enjoying my beer yesterday when an idea struck my mind, guess what the idea was?

Why Do Quotes Contradict Themselves?

This was what came to my mind before I started thinking that maybe philosophers were just confused, lol.

Let's look into some of them and maybe after then, you will answer the question, if philosophers are wise or just confused, hehehe

  • The Hood Does Not Make The Monk Vs We Are Addressed The Way We Dress

One interesting thing is that all the monks I've ever seen wear hoods but now, their hood doesn't make them... a philosopher just said, let's not think about it, lol.

I have no problem against it but then, coming out immediately to tell me we are addressed by the way we dress is what I confused me, hehe.

How will you then know I am a monk if I don't wear my hood and big rosary round my neck to address me properly?

  • The Early Bird Gets The Worm Vs Haste Makes Waste Vs All Good Things Come To Him Who Waits

If I have to be early, I have to hasten up so why is a philosopher telling me to hasten up so I could get the worm and another philosopher is telling me that if I hasten up that I would make waste, does it ring a bell to you or am I the only one seeing the confused people?

Now another philosopher went ahead to tell me that all good things ( the worm) will come to only those who wait....

Phewww, I am deeply confused
Should I go or should I stay and wait....Lol

  • The Best Things In Life Are Free Vs You Get What You Pay For.

No doubt you must have come across both quotes... It was made by notable philosophers.

But now tell me, which do you do?

Because if I am not mistaken, you must have been waiting for a very long time, you might still be waiting for those best things in life they are talking about...I mean, the philosopher just told us they are free, aren't it?

So how many times have you gotten that designers shirts for free or are designers not good again, lol?

  • God's Time Is The Best Vs Time Waits For No Man

Which one are we sticking with please...

I am a very obedient somebody and can wait for God's time ooohh if that is the one but again coming right immediately to tell me "Time waits for no Man", that means if I keep waiting for God's time, I might even end up becoming a woman...

They said waits for no man I mean, so maybe it will wait for me as a woman, lol.

But wait, let me ask you?

How do you know God's time?
Is it this your small wristwatch that's deceiving you or that you have actually gone up there to check God's wristwatch and see His time?
If yes, Please help me check for my own time too, hehe.

  • Love Makes The World Go Around Vs When Poverty Comes In At The Door, Love Flies Out Of The Window

If love makes the world go around, that means that love alone is enough, right?
That's what the philosopher just said but then, a philosopher also said that when poverty sets in, love flies away, what do we do now my people?

Do we really love and hope the diesel doesn't finish along the road or do we leave love and tackle poverty?
Philosophers be confusing me, honestly hehe.

  • You're Never Too Old To Learn Vs You Can't Teach An Old Dog New Tricks

A philosopher just told us learning never ends so I should just keep trying to learn new things regardless of my age but then, another philosopher just said to me that I can't be taught a new trick when I am old..

Ooh! I just saw something... He actually said an old dog and I will be an old man not old dog, so I guess he wasn't referring to me right?
I hope so, too, hehe.

Now tell me, Are Philosophers Wise Or Just Confused?

This was just for fun my dear friends, I think most if not all of our philosophers are up there in wisdom but just that taking some of their works literally could go a long way to confuse us which is why you should look beyond the literary meaning of their words and take a deeper reflection on them to see the ideology behind every ink they spent.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day 👍

The things we learn can have boundaries depending on our age, yet the philosophers said those things base on what they understand, so I wouldn't thing they are wrong, because, they talked based on the things they know, and to some extent, their knowledge has helped the world to what it is today.

No doubt about that man
... Just that it's confusing one telling you A and another telling you B on the same subject matter 🤣

We are living in a world, where we must adapt to change, I guess is the reason, someone must tell us this, in one way or the other.😂
