Humans And Robots rather than Humans Vs Robots

Oops! That's quite a scary prompt.

Robots are evidence of great technological advancement but then, just as it's very good, it also comes with lots of challenges and the greatest of them all remains Job Displacement.

Truth be told, there are some jobs where robots are more capable than humans, for instance, trading of cryptocurrencies and Forex tradings and others so I would not entirely write that off (not to talk of it's economic-friendly aspect)

I've not gotten a job yet but then, personally robots can't replace the job I aim for and this is because medicine is not a job which involves just a robotic display of skill but involves genuine emotional outpour to your patients, sometimes, just the emotional involvement in treating your patients quickens their recovery.

But then, some jobs especially some office jobs are at risk with these rapid continuous robotic advancements, so for the purpose of this post, I'll be in their shoe.

What Will I Do If Machine Takes Over My Job And My Skill Becomes Obsolete?

It really won't be easy to deal with but then, if it eventually happens, there's no other option other than looking for a way forward.

The first step would eventually be for you to see it as a shift in the nature of work you ought to do and scout for new opportunities in it rather than losing hope entirely... Indeed, once you actively look for one, I know you'll definitely find one.

Next should be Adaptation and Reskilling.
Your current skill have just became obsolete but then, there's always room for learning new things and even restructuring/fine-tuning the skill you already have.

Making yourself indispensable will definitely require you to bring out your brain to the table and rack it up for ways to beat the robots to it...

Robots can't completely take over everything, so there ought to be a place you come in and there could also be a loophole that might create a job where there could be a blend of humans and robots such as maintenance of the robots and programming of the robots itself.

If there's anything we humans will always have ahead of robots, it's our ability for creative thinking and Mindset.
Humans are capable of solving complex problems and has got emotions to keep the business going and flourishing rather than a programmed robot agent.

Sooner or later, this prompt will definitely be a reality and some persons might be affected, I don't know the fields yet but then, it doesn't call for fear, it rather calls for a Mindset Shift!
It will require us to embrace it as an opportunity for growth and to better the world.

Learning, resilience and adaptability they say never ends, so I know we will survive that whenever they come.

And while you wait, continuously learn new skills and get curious of whatever that happens around you.

Be open to new jobs even if they aren't your field because you don't know the one that will make you stand out and Indispensable!

Finally, let's not see it as a world of Humans Vs Robots but rather let's see it as Humans and Robots, so doing, we collaborate our energy and the world gets better.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day

The same way camera men adapted and became drone drivers I believe we humans will also find ways to adapt to our new reality. When you look at the positive side of it, these robots are actually invented to make things easier for humans but the only issue is, it is not everyone that can afford it.

Exactly bro! I believe we can coexist.
Not everyone could enjoy it and that's also a sad truth but then these things are coming to stay hence the only way is for everyone to find a way to adapt rather than fighting it
Thanks for reading

Robots can't completely take over everything.

That's a given, but they can take over enough to make a lot of people redundant. The only way out is "up-skilling."

We are already at the point where relying on a particular skill for 35 years will no longer cut it. Robots are here to stay.

It is incredible how robots can be used for surgery getting the precision that humans sometimes fail!

Cheers!

Humans can adapt, especially when the consequences of not adapting become dire. I think upskilling and become more open minded will help one find a new job or discover other ways of earning when robots take away their primary source of income.

I love the way you said this, "especially when the consequences of not adapting become dire", becomes some will choose not to do anything until they are pushed so hard to the wall before they bounce back 😂
Thanks for your thoughtful reply

Lol, rightly said. If our back is against the wall, then we will find a way to push pack out of it :)

Perfectly said it all, we can always adapt to new things... Ai might create more oppurtunites for us human rather than taking it away.. human do like challenges and living with robots is going to be dream come true and than the ability to make the living.. we are good at it.
