Once you're on the right path, you will definitely turn out fine

Societal Pressure is an everyday experience that comes once we're alive and can walk around both physically with our legs and via our phones assessing and seeing the lives of many on social medias and other platforms (Even though some of the lives exhibited online are fakes or different from what we see in real life per say) but then, the real pressure comes in when you can visibly see the growths in the lives of your friends.

Over here in Nigeria, most of the youths, myself inclusive suffer from the societal pressure of poverty, financial poverty I mean.

Suffering and thinking about a problem all the time doesn't proffer solution but rather taking appropriate steps towards combating your newly identified problems is what brings you closer to winning those challenges.

Truth is that most persons in life, even those that have money that is enough for themselves still complain a lot of the pressure to add more zeroes to their account and that's why someone who has one million is aspiring to have ten million and someone who has ten million is aspiring to have twenty million and so on and so forth.

Bending To The Pressure?

To bend to the pressure currently simply means for me to engage in the various cybercrimes most of my peers are doing because that's the only source of quick wealth available....
We all wake up to the news everyday to see a boy whose father is yet to make enough money to buy a car suddenly buys a car worth more than what his parents could afford talk more of him that has no paying job doing and we keep asking ourselves, what's going on?
How come this guy was able to buy this and so on and so forth....

Personally, I don't buy into that ideology so it's not an option for me.

Rather, I will just keep doing the little I can, all thanks to Hive that is providing for me little by little pending when I graduate to also start working and earning salaries to supplement whatever I earn from Hive.

It's better for me to go through cracking the hard nuts of success in life other than for me to take the easy path and end up losing the peace of my mind.

Combating these societal Pressures indeed isn't as easy as it looks but one thing that is certain is that one's you're on the right path doing the right thing, you don't really need to keep looking and comparing yourself with anybody.

When you keep comparing yourself with others, you lose track of even the small wins in your life and you keep seeing all you are yet to achieve without seeing the ones you've already achieved.... It finds a way of magnifying the little things left to be done and make it look like big deals, hence, pushing you to do anything even things against your will just to make sure you achieve them which is very bad.

Unhealthy Competition and Comparison does more harm than good, so once you successfully avoid that and you're on the right path, you'll turn out fine with time.. that's what I tell myself everyday especially whenever the pressure hits me hard.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day

The pressure is indeed not funny and I won't blame anyone who succumb into cybercrime. Everyone is doing everything they can to survive in this country, just that some of us decided to stick to the legitimate way of making money

Exactly the point.. everyone wants to survive because it's hard on everyone but it's hardest for some people.
Truth is that when you look around, you'll definitely see reasons to join cybercrime too but then it's just a question of what exactly you as a person wants

Hi @sperosamuel15. Each of us are unique and we have our virtues and also defects. We should take care of this and highlight the good we have and correct the bad. Comparisons are hateful because they minimize our successes and do not allow us to value what we have achieved. Best regards.

That's very true friend.... When we stop comparison, we will see more to what we have achieved and will love to achieve more but when we keep comparing, we don't even see the great things we've achieved already

It is really disheartening how the pressure is becoming worst. Now I understand why this said that "money is the root of all evil."

Thank God you're not allowing their pressure influence you.. just do your thing

Indeed, in the world's ranking, after God, next is money and that's why people can go at any length to get those papers

Following the wrong pathway will only comes into negative outcome and whatever we will earn will go waste.

Exactly... Wrongs could only breed wrongs.
It might take time to manifest but In the end, it will definitely still come out wrong

There is the quick path and there is the right path. They typically aren't the same path.

Sure there are fast ways to get rich...which are also fast ways to get in jail, get killed, or otherwise end up in trouble.

The slow path certainly takes longer and still doesn't come with guarantees but at least you can take more pleasure in the small victories, the steady progression, and like who you see in the mirror every day.

Enjoyed the article.

Thank you.

Hehe, this is a very apt illustration 😂, you nailed it man.

Indeed, it's high time we all get it at the Back of our minds that Nothing, absolutely nothing good comes easy!

Life is not easy bro, poverty is everywhere not just in Nigeria. In a situation where you see your peers suddenly making it and you seem not to be measuring up, it takes only a heart touched by God to still remain on the right path.

You are right, unhealthy competition, unhealthy comparison and lack of contentment, are some of the the things that trigger people to go to do anything to get what they want, but if we are able to keep ourselves from these, we may be able to scale through the pressure to get rich quick

In the end, we define who we really want to be... It's all our decision

Wow… you young people easily commit internet fraurd and earn money, man I am scared now…
not safe!!

If you guys can apply your mind on other things you can do well to!! I am sure coming internet fraud is not a childs play and you get caught, it would be sucky, it would ruin your reputation!! It’s not cool in anyway and not something to be proud to discuss.

I am schocked because this is 2 nd blog I am reading talking about exact same thing that there is peer pressure to commit internet fraud and turn rich…anyway.

Hehe... The pressure is no jokes honestly and it hits you harder when you've got nothing to do.
But like you said, it's a very risky thing to engage in
