~DIY~ Planter Box Upgrade & Dog Friendly Steps ~DIY~
This week would have been the kids spring break from school, so I have the week off from work. Day 1 has been full of finishing up projects and making others better. I don’t know if it is my age or what but that whole leaning over thing needs to get eliminated. So I rebuilt one of my planter boxes and made 2 taller ones instead.
Now I can literally stand straight up to pull weeds and pick strawberries. Plus with a deeper box the moisture should hold better. One box is 4 foot by 4 foot and the other is 3 foot by 6 foot. I am going to get the other 2 boxes built today.
I also had a little go at building some steps for our dog Sadie. She is getting a little older and it is a little tough for her to go up and down the steps. So I made longer steps with less rise to make it easier for her.
Maybe these are duck friendly steps too? Well the day seems to be going by fast So I better get after it. I have some materials to pick up and I have more stuff to build.

Your ain't doing a proper DIY job if you don't have proper refreshments. Lol
hahahahahaha YUP, but we have a strict rule it has to be after 12 noon.
But, one of clocks is always at 1201, go figure. hehe
Thanks for your comment.
Stay well and have a blessed day.
Explain the duck.
I have 5 Indian Runner ducks and they always think I have some sort of treat for them. They are really hilarious to watch run around the yard. Plus their eggs are delicious.
The raised beds are the best. I'm not sure what took me so long to realize with some effort on one end, would save lots of effort on the other end. We have tried strawberries several times, and things never seem to work out. The wild ones grow like crazy, but it takes several hundred to fill a pint container. If we could get them to grow like yours, I would be building some new raised boxes right now.
You know what, I may give it one more try with the strawberries, as we have never planted them in a raised box, maybe that would be the answer. In the past slugs would get them just before they were ready to pick, bummer. I think those nasty looking slugs knew exactly when I was going to harvest them and they were on them like a fly on s--t.
