Introduction

Good day, Splinterlands! It's time again for Splinterlands' SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! MAGI NECROSI. For this post, I would like to share one of my battles using Magi Necrosi. Magi Necrosi is one of the Epic Cards from Chaos Legion. This card also is one of my go to card when using Death Element. It has low Health but because of its Camouflage ability, this card can be called a true sniper. How did I won using this card? Let's take a look at it.

Here is a quick rundown of Magi Necrosi stats.

Magi Necrosi
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: EPIC
Element: DEATH
Attack: MAGIC
Abilities: SNIPE, CAMOUFLAGE, OPPRESS, STUN

LORE

Four hundred years before the first rift opened, the first whispers of chaos brought dark beasts under a blood moon to the Tower of Azdurj. Creatures of nightmare began hunting by night, lurking the valleys and crawling on the wind.

In desperation, the acolytes of Azdurj sought forbidden tomes, long sealed beneath their tower. By the candlelight of hidden recesses within their tower's crypt, the first Necrosi were born. Forged to battle the spawn of Chaos, these bounty hunters are eager to take up the fight...

Battle Configuration

The Modern Format rulesets for this fight are Wands Out (Only Monsters with Magic attack may be used in battles) and Ferocity (All Monsters have the Fury ability). The maximum amount of mana allowed is 20. If we consider the ruleset wands out, both players may think of using Earth element because it will give +1 Magic attack to allied monsters. But I prefer to use Death element in this battle to de-buff the magic attack and at the same time, reduce the health of enemy monsters by 1. Since I have no magic attack monster that can be used as a tank, I used Revealer as my monster in Position 1 to possibly stun the enemy. I also used Venari Bonesmith to inflict poison and add additional damage to the enemy. Lastly I used Magi Necrosi to snipe monsters from the back.

The enemy used Centauri Mage that can possibly tank damage upfront because of its thick HP. The enemy also used to healers, Spirit Hoarder and Goblin Psychic. Luckily, I used Magi Necrosi and it first attack Spirit Hoarder which heals back-line allied monsters.

The next monster that Magi Necrosi attacked is Goblin Psychic. In this way, if my line-up attacked the support monsters first, I have a high success of winning.

At Round 3, Goblin Psychic was killed due to Magi Necrosi's attack. I now have the upper hand because Centauri Mage was already poisoned at this round and there are no more healers to revive its HP.

At Round 4, Magi Necrosi ended the battle by inflicting 3 damage to Centauri Mage.

My Takeaway in using Magi Necrosi

It this battle, it just so happened that only monsters with magic attack can be used. So I think, Magi Necrosi is quite powerful in this battle. But under normal circumstances, I think Magi Necrosi is still very useful because of its Camouflage and Sniper abilities. These will ensure that Magi Necrosi will inflict damage without being targeted by Snipe, Sneak and Opportunity abilities. It also has fair enough speed to out performed its opponents.

Great use of Magi Necrosi. Goblin Psychic could be a pain since it can just heal the front if left unattended
