DARK ENCHANTRESS - CHIBI

A wonderful day @splinterlands community! How's your day? I hope everyone is grateful with the opportunity to see how beautiful the world is. This content will uncover the digital process on how to draw a death element character (Dark Enchantress). This cards is one of the best alpha monster cards because of its abilities which includes flying and stun. An epic card which is sometimes a favorite to anyone who loves magic monsters . Isn't it nice? After observing the card it inspires me to draw the character. Let's begin!

The Card Used as Inspiration and it's Lore

The first lady of the Dark Eternals began long ago with the distant memory of a life in Lyveria as a simple farmer’s daughter. She had met the Lord of Darkness, fallen in love and signed the Dark Contract herself. Now she was the Dark Enchantress, all-powerful in magic and the Dark Lord’s true Queen.

The Process

All Steps in 4 Phases

Phase 1

SKETCH. First I select the exact or preferred size of the tip of pen. Then I started to make the character into a cute chibi following the features. Of course, black was used to emphasize the sketch and serves as concrete basis for the next step. Thin and thick lines were used.

Phase 2

SKIN AND HAIR. The skin and hair should be colored by using the base color that is more darker than the planned color to be added after the first application. Then I just use same color or the other color near to the main base and just lower the opacity for a well complemented result. Of course I didn't forget to beautify the face of the character.

Phase 3

THE COSTUME AND THE BROOM. Now I should color the costume likewise to the original character. I also design the broom very well with different ranges of color focusing to the main base of each object. I make sure that it shouldn't disrupts the harmony of the finished parts. In short it goes along with the first and the next.

Phase 4

BACKGROUND AND INTEGRATION. I'm fond of creating mandala so I did it again. I prepare a black background and started to create the unique design using grey pen and then integrate the first canvas. Now I put white shades at the back of the character to emphasize her. Then I started to play other colors to end the process.

Art Application: ibisPaint X

The result is absolutely stunning! Thanks a lot! See you on my next fan art.
