SPIRIT OF THE FOREST

A beautiful day @splinterlands community! How's your day? I hope everyone is enjoying with their time. This content will reveal the digital process on how to draw a beautiful character (Spirit of the Forest) from earth element. This cards is one of the best alpha monster cards because of its abilities which includes flying, snipe, tank, heal, protect. A legendary card which means a valuable one. Isn't it amazing? The worth inspires me to draw the character. Let's begin!

The Card Used as Inspiration and it's Lore

  • Lore

From the safety of the Eldest Tree, deep in the shrouded magic of the Hungry Wood, the Spirit of the Forest lives and grows. She is one of the original creators of life in the Splinterlands, and little happens without her knowing about it. She can be summoned to battle by a skilled summoner, but she loves all her children as a good mother should.

The Process

All Steps in 5 Phases

Phase 1

SKETCH. Using the selected pen. I started to make a sketch. Thin and thick lines allows me to draw a concrete and nice blueprint. I imagine what should be done!

Phase 2

SKIN. The skin should be in the range of green but in the middle. I was having difficulty to select the base color of the skin but at the end I did it. Just moving and trying until I got the real one. It should be plain!

Phase 3

FACE. Now everything on the face or near to it should be colored and well designed. To show artistry and mastery. I just lowered the opacity of the selected colors to design the hair. Others like the design above the hair is simply colored. Now everything is turning good!

Phase 4

GARMENTS. Costumes or garments as well as the shading have been applied. The goal here is to finish the overall character. Now it's done. Thanks for the bucket and other features for an easy drawing!

Phase 5

THE FINALIZATION. This time I should create the background first by adding another canvas. I turn on the symmetry ruler with 8 divisions to create a mandala style. A mandala or a doodle style art. After creating the background I just integrate the first canvas. But I give a fading color at the back of the character to emphasize the subject. Not it's the best!

Art Application: ibisPaint X

The result is perfect! Thanks a lot! See you on my next fan art.
