Teachers are the backbone of society, they offer tuition and dedicate their lives to giving young people education and training.

A good teacher is someone who maintains a positive teacher-student relationship that ensures trust and respect, my favorite teacher is one such person.

My Favorite Teacher
From my primary education till now, I have encountered so many good teachers with different teaching methods, but my favorite has to be Mr. Nash( my senior high school chemistry teacher). I got admission to Tamale Islamic Senior High school to offer General science and one fo the most difficult courses in the science department was chemistry. chemistry was most student’s nightmare in our first year till Mr. Nash arrived. Mr. Nash took over our chemistry class in year two and we all begun to love chemistry.

The Qualities He possessed

Mr. Nash was a very young and talented teacher who had knowledge in not only chemistry, but all other aspects of science. He used to come to class without a notebook or textbook, he would give notes and do complex calculations off head and he could go back to any point of his notes and take from there without even referring to any book. He was one of the teachers that trained students of our school for the National Science and Maths Quiz. One time he went to the science and maths club to teach chemistry, but then they had physics at that time and the physics master wasn’t present so he was asked to teach them physics and even though he didn’t have prior information he was to teach physics that day, he handled the topic so well that, the students insisted he should be the one handling physics. Mr. Nash was very patient and when he was about pushed to the edge he always tries and suppress it.

What I liked about Him
What I liked about him was how he related science to real life situations for better understanding. He also used to motivate us to be confident and he didn’t tolerate the idea of students teasing others for providing wrong answers, so he use to say that there’s no wrong answer in his class and just one’s idea of the course. What I also liked about him is how he involved the class and always showing us some cool tricks to solving some problems.

Mr.Nash made every student to love chemistry and was one of the most cherished teachers during high school.

The efforts teachers put into the upbringing of students is priceless and I think they deserve more than they get in this part of the world. Teachers pay a vital role in the society and should be treated as role models.

Thank you all for reading.

Everyone would love to have a teacher like him. Thanks for sharing this with us. Be informed, another prompt is up. hoping to read that of yours again.
