Visiting The Fields, Kids Catching Fish, Picking Waterlilies, And More!! 🐟🌾🌺
Hi everybody! Yesterday my brother and his son went to harvest rice a little bit far from his house. My two daughters and I wanted to visit there too. There is a big lake there and it never dries up.
This lake, when I was a child, I used to watch buffalo with other children in the village and swim together. It's been over 20 years, but I will never forget it.
This is a boy that loves playing with Monkey-B so much.
This is the first time for @kidsisters to visit there.
The lake in the middle is very deep, but there are a lot of waterlily growing there. I tell kids to play only in shallow places.
These are purple waterlily. We can eat them too but the people like to eat red waterlily the most.
This lake has three different colors of waterlily, white, red and purple waterlily.
I don't know the name of this kind flowers. I see it's beautiful and take pictures of it. They are growing near the lake.
We picked red waterlily for make sour soup and eat them like salad.
This is the harvest season, and some of the fields have been reaped, but some of the fields are not yet ready for harvest. In the harvested field, there is a little water left in the field, and there are many fish in it.
My nephew loves to catch fish for cooking, and if they do not catch these fish, these fish will die because the water will dry soon.

My Monkey-B never catch fish before. She looks at those boys catching fish and it make her want to do it too. She so happy can catching fish for her first time. But just a first for Monkey-B.
My brother came to harvest rice with his son early in the morning and his daughter cooked lunch for him at the harvest. He said, eating food in the field is so delicious. I used to eat lunch at field too, it’s really delicious with all the food. I remember that feeling.
After they got lunch already they are harvest again until evening. Now the people love harvest by machine but it’s very expensive for price because gasoline prices rise. So my brother try harvest some by hands and some by machine.
These rice are not ready to harvest.
As we waited for the harvesters to return home, the kids cut the stalks and cut them into pieces and blew them. It's a sound I can not explain. That’s a good game for the kids in the countryside. I used to do it too when I was a kid.
Srey-Yuu is very happy with these kids to play games in the fields.

There is a saying in our village that food tastes the most in the land. I also ate food on the land a few times and it feels good. Lots of beautiful little fish can be seen here. It's nice to see the fish. The blue water lily flowers look amazing. You have spent some beautiful moments.

Yes, I can still remember some of my childhood memories even though back then I was very poor. My daughters had a really fun time and I don’t think they will forget it. Have a good day.

I'd never seen a waterlily in my life, and seeing that purple waterlily made my heart flutter. It's stunningly beautiful.

Aw what a beautiful way to spend the day! The purple waterlilies are a beauty, I had no idea that you can eat them lol. Here we have botanical gardens where we put them on display like a rare thing.

Yes, my eldest daughter just went to the rice field across the lake. She said the water is not too high. It is deep for kids shorter than her.

Great to see your children enjoying the fields. I remember when we were young, my siblings and I also went to the rice fields. there was a rice field near our home before.
Here rice fields are everywhere. You can find palm trees everywhere. I think I went to the rice field when I was young. Back then I was young all of my siblings are already old. One of my siblings has a daughter that has the same age. Have a good day.

She is not scared of it but she is afraid of something similar to fish but it bite when it bites it hurt and bleed. That’s why she is scared. Have a nice day.

Stunning water lily flowers, never knew the pods are edible. What a wonderful outing with family, the children look so happy with their cousins playing like children should.

The scenery does remind me of my grandfather place during my childhood time. The ponds, river and paddy field are our playing field 😁
