BREAKING NEWS : Nasser Al-Attiyah won Dakar Rally 2022

Hi, friends!

Nasser Al-Attiyah won his fourth Dakar Rally and now he is equal to the rally legend Ari Vatanen who also scored four wins at Dakar. To be honest driving in Africa seemed much harder then it is at Saudi Arabia.

But today it is probably tougher competition then back then in a days. Al-Attiyah had probably toughest opponent in Seb Loeb, nine time World Rally Champion, who changed his long time co-driver Daniel Elena for much more experienced Fabian Lurquin to navigate him this year. But despite that change, it wasn't enough for him to win the rally.

Loeb finished 2nd overall but it's all because he still lacks experience of Dakar rally and he probably wants that win as soon as possible. Some things don't go that way. He will have to enter every year until he win and that's the only possibility.

Yazeed Al Rajhi is the man of the rally if you ask me. He finished 3rd overall and it was highly precised drive of him knowing that he can't beat Al-Attiyah or Loeb because they are just better or more experienced then him at the moment.

The best placed Audi driver is Mattias Ekstrom in 9th overall and I would say that this is disasppointing for the team of that calibre. Peterhansel or Sainz sr made their mistakes and they can blame only themselves for their results.

So in the top five we have three Toyota Hilux cars (Al-Attiyah, Al Rajhi and Giniel de Villiers as 5th overall) and two Bahrain Raid Extreme Hunter cars (Loeb and Orlando Terranova in 4th overall).

It was ready great rally and we had a chance to watch every single day coverage. This is the link for the last day's coverage:
