BREAKING NEWS: O. Tanak to drive for M-Sport Ford in 2023

Big saga has finally come to an end and now we know that the World Rally champion from 2019 finally has his new home at the team where his WRC career has started - at M-Sport Ford.

But something else gave Tanal an international rallying life and that is called Pirelli Star Driver which was active as a program in a late 2000's. Tanak won a drive in a 2009 shoot out and brought him a program with them for 2010 in a Production WRC series and the car Mitsubishi Lancer Evo.

He did well in 2010 and soon he was introduced by his mentor and ex-works Ford driver Markko Martin to the M-Sport owner Malcolm Wilson. That's where his professional career has started.

He drove a whole 2011 season with the Ford machinery Fiesta S2000 in SWRC categpry and at tge end of that season he got a chance for an outing in the premium WRC class. He did alright at Wales Rally 2011 finishing 6th overall.

That brought him a program for 2012 but with lot of retiring, mostly because of the shunts. Shunts were the reason why he was sidelined from M-Sport for 2013 which was season when he turned back to the Estonian rally championship which he finished 2nd overall.

He was back at M-Sport for 2014 and from then onwards, he is in a full works seat. In 2019 he won the championship with Toyota and the he had not that successful three seasons at Hyundai.

But now he is back at the place where it all started - at M-Sport Ford and he wants another shot on the crown. Let the best win - as always...
