Brezik leads ERC Rally Barum 2026 after first full day of competition

It is so close at the top of this week's European Rally Championship event called Barum Rally, which is held in Czech Republic, but that way is more interesting for an audience.

Local Adam Brezik leads the field in Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 machinery but the other two top places are also reserved for the same brand, with Miko Marczyk in 2nd place and Teemu Suninen in 3rd place.

It is kinda unbelievable that Brezik is on the Hankook rubber which has the lower grip against the competition, and is sometimes prone to punctures (in WRC), but ERC level is lower in quality of drivers then WRC, which is also normal.

Lancia is the only brand outside of Škoda in the top 5 with Andrea Mabellini in 4th place. Top 4 crews are in 13s and anything can still happen.
