Fourmaux leads Janner Rallye 2023 in Austria

Hi, friends!

Janner Rallye in Austria once was a part of European Rally Championship but these days, after COVID-19 pandemic, it is only an event of Austrian Rally Championship plus part of some regional rally championship which is something I didn't hear for in the past.

M-Sport sent both of their WRC2 drivers - Adrien Fourmaux and Gregoire Munster to compete and to learn the car. Fourmaux is demoted from the Rally1 team and he can be happy not to be booted from the team after so many crashes in 2022.

He is showing a great pace in Austria after first full day of competition and currently leads in front of the Austrian finest Simon Wagner by 7.8s. Just to add that Fourmaux drives Ford Fiesta Rally2 while Wagner is in the latest spec of Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 car.

Gregoire Munster is currently in 20th place after having a troubled day with 2m40s of penalties because of being late into the time controls (I guess it was some kind of mechanical problem in the way).

It is interesting that there is another Wagner from the family, Julian, also competing in another Škoda Fabia Rally2 (not the latest spec) and he is currently in the 6th place overall.

There will be another tough day tomorrow and it will be a big battle between Adrien Fourmaux, M-Sport works WRC2 driver, and Simon Wagner, home boy who knows these stages like his pocket.

Let the best win - as always...
