Neuville leads WRC Rally Portugal 2022 after super special stage

Hi, friends!

Fourth round on the World Rally Championship has started today with the super special stage which was held on the town tarmac roads and the cars were,of course, on the gravel set-up.

As I wrote in the past, super special stages are mainly for fans and larger public because it is the only way you can show the rallying to the average people who are not interested to go to the woods and wait for the cars to see the real action.

This rally represent a new battle between rally giants, two Sebs - Ogier and Loeb, and it will be interesting how they perform after the break because all the other drivers had two moer rallies in between, Sweden and Croatia, while these two guys were doing some other forms of motorsport.

It seems that Hyundai is improving with the small steps because that i2' Rally1 car works better and they have 1-2 after the short super special stage with Belgium's Thierry Neuville leading and Estonian Ott Tanak in 2nd place.

Craig Breen was the fasterst M-Sport Ford driver and in 3rd place overall in front of another M-Sport Ford representative Gus Greensmith.

Seb Ogier was the fastest Toyota driver in 5th place in front of the championship leader Kalle Rovanpera.

Tomorrow starts the real action on gravel and it is interesting that crews won't have the service time for the whole day. So the crews will have to look for after the cars but also car's reliability will be a crucial point of Friday.

Let the best win - as always...
