Onboard rally video of the day - D. Sordo with Hyundai i20 WRC at Monte Carlo Rallye 2017

Hi, friends!

Monte Carlo Rallye is one of the toughest events of the World Rally Championship and the reason for that is because the event is held in January and the special stages are all in the French Alps with very tough roads on the mountain's tops.

You usually starts on the clean tarmac and after five or six milometers, how you climb the mountain, you can find snow and ice on the road. So it is very important to make your notes correctly and that your ice-note crew put the right marks on the recce book because they enter the special stages just before closing of it.

So the ice-note crew send you a details written on your recce notes with every possible snow and ice corner etc. You just have to know the road conditions before you enter the special stages because you can brutally crash on some black ice patch and then you are nowhere.

Dani Sordo is one of the finest tarmac rally driver in the world. They call him the guy who always finishes and that's why every team boss wanted him in the squad for years.

He is with the Hyundai team almost for a decade now and he knows how the team operates inside-out. That i20 WRC rally car was developed in the right direction and although they never won the driver's title, they took two manufacturer's titles and that's what is the more important for them, it seems.

Sordo never won Monte Carlo Rallye (he has only three WRC wins) but he was on the podium there numerous times. We have an onboard rally video from his outing with the Hyundai team from season 2017.

Watch and enjoy the Spaniard's drive... :)
