Onboard rally video of the day - Solberg sr with Subaru Impreza WRC at Monte Carlo Rallye

Today we have 2003 WRC champion Petter Solberg for onboard rally video of the day. I can't say that he was a tarmac specialist because he wasn't. He did better results on gravel then on tarmac but to become a WRC champion you must be complete driver, equally good on every surface.

In year 2002 from when this video dates. he wasn't that much of a complete driver, he was still learning beside his team mate from that time - Tommi Makinen who just signed with Subaru and won first event of the season in Monte Carlo.

Petter Solberg had really great mentor in Makinen who won four titles in a row and also Monte Carlo Rallye three or four times.

Watch Solberg sr at legendary special stage called Col de Turini. Car was even more legendary Sbaru Impreza WRC.
