Rovanpera jr fastest at shakedown of WRC Safari Rally Kenya 2024

First gravel event of this year's World Rally Championship is on and it all started with shakedown closed to Nairobi, Kenya.

Current WRC champion Kalle Rovanpera is back in his part time season and after kinda disappointment in Sweden, he is in hunt for better result on his favorite surface.

Safari Rally Kenya is one of the roughest events in WRC so it is not enough just to be quick. Clever driving is more important here to preserve the car of breakdown.

I must admit that I am surprised not to see Seb Ogier in that 3rd Toyota Yaris Rally1 car in Kenya because Safari was his loving event in the past.

So Rovanpera jr (Toyota) posted fastest time on shakedown but only 0.2s in front of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) while Esapekka Lappi was 3rd fastest just 0.1s behind Neuville.
