Terranova wins another special stage for BRX team at Dakar Rally 2022

Hi, friends!

We all know how good is the Prodrive team which gave Subaru so many World Rally Championship crowns in almost two decades of existing at the highest level of the sport but we didn't know how good they are in the sister category of the sport - in the cross-country rallying which Dakar Rally is.

They know how to build any rally car, they proved us that through Subaru or Mini but they also know that they need a top drivers to achieve all the goals they have so they picked nine times World Rally Champion Seb Loeb to drive for them, and that way to make wishes come true for both sides - for Prodrive to finally score Dakar Rally win and the same for Seb Loeb who revealed in the past that this is one of his desires to win the hardest rally on Earth.

Both sides have some problems - little bit reliability and on the other side there is a navigational problem on the Loeb's side. Because of the navigation, Loeb changed his co-driver Daniel Elena, who was his co-driver for more then 20 years now. Elena retired after before this season and Loeb found a new co-drivers for both categories - WRC and cross-country rallying.

But Prodrive and their sponsorship title Bahrain Raid Extreme do have two other drivers who can do really well on the rally and we are talking about Orlando Terranova and Nani Roma, both super experienced guys with Roma as a rider who made his name on bikes.

Today Orlando Terranova shone bright and win another special stage for his team in a big fight against Audi's Martias Ekstrom who finished 2nd with gap of 1m06s behind stage winner.

Seb Loeb lost his overall place and now he is 3rd overall after being runner-up for all the days until today. He and his co-driver Fabian Lurquin got lost in the navigation again and lost lots of time finishing outside of top ten and now he is 50m25s down to the rally leader Nasser Al-Attiyah who decided to drive fast and safe because he knows that guys from behind need to push hard to catch him. Where is a hard rhythm, there is also a chance that something will go wrong. With Stephane Peterhansel out of the rally, there is a strong chance for Al-Attiyah to win once more and with Toyota Hilux, the car he praises so much.

Sensation of the rally so far is Yazeed Al Rajhi in the Overdrive Toyota who finished today's special stage in the 3rd place and now he is 2nd overall with 50m19s behind Nasser. Al Rajhi is now in front of Seb Loeb, guy who could only dream in the past to be in front.

Lucio Alvarez is now 4th overall with 19m behind Loeb. Tomorrow is a day off for all the competitors and if you think that anything is sorted, you are wrong - Dakar Rally is finished once you cross the finish line. That's the way it is with the hardest endurance rally on the planet.
