Gantz: O : A very good manga movie that I never get tired of watching (2016) Review [Eng - Esp]

On Monday of this week I was chatting with some friends, by video call and we touched a lot on the subject of various anime as well as manga and games to kill time, it turns out that one of them was asking for recommendations to see an anime with gore or adult topics, so what I recommended is to see the anime and read the manga of Gantz, series that I love although I have a greater preference for the manga than for the anime and this led to a movie which was adapted to an arc of the manga, movie of which I will talk today and I do not get tired of seeing, since I saw it 5 years ago and sometimes I see it again.

It is a movie that I never get tired of watching as I mentioned before, since it emphasizes in a summarized way in certain aspects but well structured, one of my favorite arcs in the whole franchise, so I wanted to bring this movie in question. It touches basic aspects that lead to the development of the plot for those people who have no idea of the franchise or what is Gantz, but it is advisable to have at least an understanding of the manga or anime, however I will touch and explain better this aspect a little later and also give my opinion of why I recommend it, to at least have variety so without further ado Gantz: O

El día lunes de esta semana estaba charlando con unos amigos, por video llamada y tocamos mucho el tema de diversos animes así como mangas y juegos para matar el rato, resulta que uno de ellos estaba pidiendo recomendaciones para ver un anime con temática de gore o tópicos adultos, así que lo que le recomendé es que se viera el anime y leyera el manga de Gantz, serie que me encanta aunque tengo una mayor preferencia por el manga que por el anime y esto desembocó, en una película la cual adaptaron a un arco de dicho manga, película de la cual les hablare el día de hoy y no me canso de ver, ya que la vi hace 5 años atrás y en ciertas ocasiones la vuelvo a ver.

Es una película que no me canso de ver como mencione anteriormente, ya que hacen énfasis de forma resumida en ciertos aspectos pero bien estructurado, uno de mis arcos favoritos en toda esa franquicia, así que quise traer esta película en cuestión. Toca aspectos básicos que desembocan en el desarrollo de la trama para aquellas personas que no tienen idea de la franquicia o de lo que es Gantz, pero lo recomendable es tener al menos un entendimiento del manga o el anime, sin embargo tocare y explicare mejor este aspecto un poco más adelante y daré también mi opinión del porque la recomiendo, para al menos tener variedad así que sin más preámbulo Gantz: O

Gantz: O is known as an anime movie made by CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) in which are involved outstanding aspects, such as action and science fiction, movie produced by the production studio Digital Frontier, as well as directed by Yasushi Kawamura, such movie is based on one of the best arcs of the Gantz manga, manga which was written as well as illustrated by Hiroya Oku.

Such movie was released as of October 14, 2016 by the film production company called Toho.

Gantz: O es conocida como una película de anime elaborada por CGI (Imágenes generadas por computadora) en el cual están involucrados aspectos resaltantes, como la acción y la ciencia ficción, película producida por el estudio de producción Digital Frontier, así como dirigida por Yasushi Kawamura, tal película está basada en uno de los mejores arcos de dicho manga de Gantz, manga el cual fue escrito así como ilustrado por Hiroya Oku.

Tal película se estreno a partir del 14 de Octubre del 2016 por la productora de cine llamada Toho.

Synopsis / Sinopsis

Our plot is developed in the port city of Japan known as Osaka, in which very alarming things are happening, of which is present an invasion of creatures, which closely resemble the Yokais (creatures of Japanese folklore) and these are attacking and destroying everything in its path along with many lives together, this is where 2 groups enter into action with weapons and implements necessary to cope and survive.

Nuestra trama se desarrollo en la ciudad portuaria de Japón conocida como Osaka, en la cual están ocurriendo cosas muy alarmantes, de las cuales se hace presente una invasión de criaturas, que se asemejan mucho a los Yokais (criaturas del folclore japonés) y estas están arremetiendo y destruyendo todo a su paso junto a muchas vidas en conjunto, es aquí donde ingresan 2 grupos en acción con las armas eh implementos necesarios para hacerles frente y poder sobrevivir.

I started watching Gantz because of its anime, then when I finished it I started reading the manga, until it finished I spent a long time and when it was informed at that time, that a movie would be made to adapt one of the best arcs of the franchise (in my opinion) I was very excited, the issue with this movie, is as I mentioned before, is that even though you should have even a slight or basic understanding of the series, more than anything else to keep a chronological order of what is happening, and to know about the characters in sets that come out in the series, is that even though you should have even a slight or basic understanding of the series more than anything else to keep a chronological order of what is happening, and know about the characters in sets that appear in the same film, the viewers are introduced at the beginning and in a more detailed way in the mission, both for the characters themselves and for the same development of the environment before what happens, but clearly focused on the plot of that arc itself.

The film enjoys a very good animation, in fact more than acceptable considering the medium used to animate it with CGI modeling, it is very enjoyable and fluid but neither this exaggerates in an excessive way and fits well with the environment, this being one in which survival, conflict and death predominates as well as blood and other topics in question, making it something very entertaining mainly for those fans or enthusiasts of this kind of genre, this animation brings it and applies it very well.

Yo comencé viendo Gantz por parte de su anime, luego al terminarlo comencé a leer el manga, hasta que este culmino paso un largoooo tiempo y cuando se informo en aquel entonces, que se haría una película que adaptara uno de los mejores arcos de la franquicia (a mi parecer) me emocione muchísimo, la cuestión con esta película, es como mencione con anterioridad, es que a pesar de que se deba poseer si quiera un ligero o básico entendimiento de la serie más que nada para llevar un orden cronológico de lo que está pasando, y saber sobre los personajes en conjuntos que salen en la misma película, se introduce al espectadores al comienzo y de manera más detallada en la misión, tanto por los personajes en sí y por el mismo desenvolvimiento del ambiente ante lo que ocurre, pero claramente enfocado a la trama de ese arco en sí.

La película goza de una muy buena animación, de hecho más que aceptable considerando el medio que se utiliza para animar la misma con modelados CGI, es muy disfrutable y fluida pero tampoco esta exagera de forma desmesurada y se acopla bien al entorno, siendo este uno en el cual predomina la supervivencia, el conflicto y la muerte así como la sangre y otros tópicos en cuestión, convirtiéndola en algo muy entretenido principalmente para aquellos fanáticos o entusiastas de esta clase de género, esta animación lo aporta y aplica muy bien.

As for the plot, its development is mostly in accordance with the events of that arc of the manga (Osaka arc), it could be said that 80% if I would give it a comparative weighting, omitting some characters and scenes, that although they are certainly somewhat relevant events that develop, in the film they are even more so and in the manga such situations really have more weight although they are only complementary aspects for the development of the plot, and it does not ruin at all how this is carried out in the film compared to the manga, I also understand why some characters were not coupled, for its high sexual content and death, which in the film if it is maintained but in an acceptable way and not so overloaded focusing more than anything in survival and battle.

It is a movie that I recommend, if it is for mere curiosity and you enjoy the themes already mentioned above with more cruel touches linked to creatures, and if in that case you like it and are interested in knowing or seeing more about the past or outcome of most of the characters there, I recommend that you read the manga or watch the anime and then the manga, although the anime only covers a part of it, it is a movie that I never get tired of watching the truth I have seen it like 13 times in all this interval of time or years that have passed and maybe, we will see, I would have to put it in my list although it would be last because I want to talk about other things first and this movie was an exception because I liked it a lot and I wanted to share it with you.

En cuanto a la trama su desarrollo va acorde en su gran mayoría con los sucesos de ese arco del manga (arco de Osaka), podría decirse que un 80% si le daría una ponderación comparativa, omitiéndose algunos personajes y escenas, que pese a que si son ciertamente algo relevantes los acontecimientos que se desarrollan, en la película lo son aun mas y en el manga dichas situaciones realmente tienen más peso aunque son solo aspectos complementarios para el desarrollo de la trama, y no arruina en lo absoluto en como esta se lleva a cabo en la película en comparación al manga, además entiendo el porqué no se acoplaron algunos personajes, por su alto contenido sexual y muerte, cosa que en el film si se mantiene pero de una forma aceptable y no tan sobrecargada enfocándose mas que nada en la supervivencia y la batalla.

Es una película que recomiendo, si es por mera curiosidad y disfrutas de los temas ya mencionados con anterioridad con toques más crueles ligados con criaturas, y si en tal caso les gusto y están interesados en saber o ver más sobre el pasado o desenlace de la mayoría de los personajes ahí, les recomiendo que lean el manga o vean el anime y luego el manga, aunque el anime solo cubre un parte, es una película que no me canso de ver la verdad la he visto como 13 veces en todo este intervalo de tiempo o años que transcurrieron y quizás, ya veremos me anime hacer una reseña sobre dicho anime, lo tendría que poner en mi lista aunque estaría de ultimo ya que quiero hablar de otras cosas primero y esta película fue una excepción porque me gusto mucho y quería compartirlo con ustedes.
