Financial Rollercoaster: How Unexpected Events Derailed My Productive Day
It has been a while since I wrote a post with my phone, but now I think it is important that I do it, especially with my present financial condition.
At the moment, I am not in the best financial state, but I know this is temporary, and this is why I am taking my savings in HBD more seriously in order to curb my spending and actually save more.
Right now, in my bank account in Fiat, I have close to nothing, even though in the right sense, and with the way the week went, I should really have more than enough. This is because I was dashed some money by a friend, pulled out some money from Hive, and at the same time earned a small amount of money from one or two transactions. Somehow, I am ending the week broke rich.
If your thoughts were that I spent the money recklessly, then you are wrong because up to half of the money that entered my bank account this week, I gave out trying to support friends around me who were in need. I dashed out to some people without them asking me, because I noticed their condition, while to some others I lend them because they asked me to, which obviously I would not ask them for but leave them to return it on their own.
Why am I sharing all this? Let's start from the beginning.
Because it had been a while, I had posted on Hive and uploaded videos to my YouTube channel. I had 3 goals to accomplish yesterday to have a productive day, which were to make a guitar video to publish on Hive Open Mic, write a post on Hive, and also make a video for my YouTube channel, which I would edit the next day.
To achieve this, I needed electricity, and there was no gas to power my generator, nor did I have any money to buy gas. So I pulled some money on Hive (assisted with 2 Hbd from @olujay) and borrowed some money from my YouTube partner and dear friend @monioluwa so I could get gas. I took out my gas, and on getting to the gas plant, they said their pump had spoiled. I had to go back home to get a keg so I could buy Petrol to power my generator.
This cost me double expenses in my transportation. After getting the fuel and powering my generator, I had not started what I intended to do before I started having unexpected visitors that do not regularly visit. That was how I ended up not doing what I planned and having my fuel and plans for the day wasted.
Today, the main goal was editing my video after making it, but before I could even start editing, my PC died—no light, no fuel, and there was nothing I could do about the situation because of how rich I am. I don't want to let the day go by without writing about something. That's why I had to pick up my phone and start writing my thoughts.
It’s good to give those who are in need though. I’m glad you got to do that even though you’re not very buoyant at the moment
Happy Sunday!
