I decided to change my haircut from the usual pong haircut to something different. I don't really know the name of this haircut but I got inspired to change it when I saw it on my friend's head. I felt I needed a change of haircut so I went to a different saloon to get the cut.
What is the reason for my change of saloon?
Not that the barber of my former saloon is not good at his job but he did something that made me quite annoyed. About a month ago when I went to his salon for a haircut, I demanded he barbs my hair himself since he was the only one who cuts my hair. Then he told me that his apprentice can do the job and he would do a very good job.
Knowing it is my hair, I didn't want the apprentice to touch my hair but the barber insisted that he was good. I told the barber immediately that if he cuts my hair, not to my liking, I would not visit his place any longer for a haircut.
That was why I decided to visit a different salon.
Coincidentally, I met my barber yesterday and he was asking me why he has not been seeing me. I told him honestly: "You pursued me away that's why I did not come". I left him for school and got his message immediately on Whatsapp.

This is the type of haircut I usually barb before just that the difference is the back of my head. I don't have a picture of it so I had to browse for a picture to show you how it looks. The image above is how the side of my head would look like for my former haircut.
As I changed my haircut, everyone seemed to notice my change in hairstyle. I received over 10 compliments from different people yesterday. Most of them spoke about the change in hairstyle and some said they prefer the new cut.
This photo I took here was quite funny but at the same very cute. I was looking for a good place to take clean photos and I found this area was quite bright. I decided to take more pictures of this area.

We "guys" don't need to spend too much on our hair when it comes to looking good, unlike the ladies, but we still want it to be perfect; we always do.
This is why we always stick with one saloon and one barber. If there's going to be a change, then there's a problem. I would have felt the same way you did and left for a different barber too.
But what me I know is that no matter the barber you meet, you still end up being Abeokuta's finest.

That's one thing I am glad about.. I don't need to spend too much as a guy on hair. Just $2 per month is more than enough for a guy.

I think that your previous barber wanted his apprentice to gain confidence and skills but he shouldn't have done that at the expense of his main customers. Maybe he could have used kids or people who wouldn't mind and that's where he got it wrong.
I think the new haircut is decent. We all want a change sometimes and that's why I chose to grow my beard during the lockdown. Well, let's see how you'll rock this during the meetup this month, plus, the shots aren't bad either.

The apprentice didn’t cut my hair the way I wanted it. And also, he spoilt the shaping of my hair. I got pissed and left. I didn’t want to pay for the haircut but I did since it would be the last I would be going there.
That's bad, but also good in another way because now you finally had a new haircut.

Barbing is a difficult skill to learn because you can only know it by practicing.... You can still go back to your previous barber someday and just insist he barbs your hair himself since he is good and you are the one you are used to.

Some people doesn't know how to maintain their old and good customer. You told ur former baber before hand and he didn't find any reason to do the job himself but rather his apprentice...how he lost one good customer 😂

I can relate to the disturbing incident of you and your previous barber and his apprentice! Honestly, I would say that he fucked up! I have a guy who is my bestie...he would travel all the way from lekki to the mainland to barb his hair and I often wonder why not until I started cutting my hair omg!!! I traveled too lmao 😂😂😂😂 aswear! And once I see his apprentice I would turn back asap except the main barber is closeby then I will wait. He uses almost an hour plus to barb hair and guys are always flooding his shop and even dragging turns hehe.

Most professional barbers gives haircut to their apprentice to work on. Your hair shouldn't be a rehearsal field and it's good as you decided to go for a new barber. Though risky but more okay. Keep being the finest brother ever and make sure mummy doesn't sees it😉😀
