Hello dear Hive friends, today I want to share with you something I recently discovered, which might interest you, given that we all have a love for writing to some extent as we are on this platform.

Due to my arm condition, which is recovering but still cannot handle physical strain, and since my lease is expiring at the end of this month, I do not wish to return to the slaughterhouse of posts that have reduced my tendons to that extent. I will be seeking new horizons, but in the meantime, one needs to eat. These last few days, where I have become more active, I have been studying and searching for immediate economic solutions, which are not part of my various long-term projects but are fallback options that I hope will help alleviate the transitional phase.

Buongiorno cari amici di Hive, oggi voglio condividere con vuoi una cosa che ho scoperto recentemente, che potrebbe interessarvi, visto che bene o male essendo in questa piattaforma, abbiamo tutti un'inclinazione d'amore verso la scrittura.

Per via della mia condizione al braccio, che sta recuperando, ma non può ancora fare sforzi e poco prima di fine mese mi scade la muta, dove dopo di che non vorrò più tornare nel macello di post che mi hanno ridotto i tendini a quel punto e cercherò nuovi orizzonti, però nel frattempo si deve mangiare e in questi ultimi giorni, dove sono tornato molto attivo, sto studiando e cercando delle soluzioni economiche immediate, che non fanno parte dei miei vari progetti a lungo termine, ma sono dei ripieghi che spero possano tamponare un po' il momento di transizione.

I did not focus on Hive as an immediate income source, although with consistent publication and interaction, one can earn interesting amounts. However, the issue of taxation is a problem, where the free gain of a post is practically 25%, and if I withdraw it in FIAT currency, I have to deduct an additional 26% due to taxes. Therefore, I prefer to accumulate and wait to see Hive reach $10 someday. Who knows? If they had told me about BTC at $50-60k in 2017, I would have laughed, and yet...

So, while seeking immediate but serious solutions that could give me an income using what I have learned over the years, I found services that pay for translations or article writing. I started by signing up for two of the most popular platforms, at least according to what I read.

Non ho puntato su Hive come entrata immediata, anche se con costante pubblicazione e interazione si possono arrivare a cifre interessanti, ma vige il problema delle tassazioni, dove il guadagno libero di un post è praticamente il 25%, che se poi vado a prelevare in moneta FIAT lo devo decurtare ulteriormente del 26% per via delle tasse, allora preferisco accumulare e aspettare di vedere magari un giorno Hive a 10$, chi lo sa, se mi dicevano BTC a 50/60k nel 2017 mi mettevo a ridere e invece...

Così cercando delle soluzioni immediate, ma serie, che potessero darmi un'entrata sfruttando quello che ho imparato in questi anni, ho trovato dei servizi che pagano per traduzioni o scrittura di articoli, così ho iniziato iscrivendomi a due piattaforme tra le più quotate, almeno secondo quello che ho letto.

The first platform is about translations, and the site is called Translate.com:

It offers various combinations of translations, starting with the classic English, but it also offers translations for less commonly used languages worldwide, from all over the world. Therefore, it offers a well-globalized demand.

La prima piattaforma riguarda le traduzioni, il sito si chiama Translate.com:

Offre variate combinazioni di traduzioni, partendo ovviamente dal classico Inglese, ma offre traduzioni anche per lingue meno utilizzate a livello mondiale provenienti un po' da tutto il mondo, quindi offre una domanda ben globalizzata.

After registering and entering your details, you can start the test trials for each language to access translations. Each test can only be attempted twice and involves translating a good text into multiple versions, all very similar but differentiated by small grammar details. Therefore, the help of software will be useless; you need to know the grammar and sentence structure in that language. I attempted and passed 3 tests, Italian-English, English-Italian, and English (British)-Italian, while I failed the German-Italian one, on which I have knowledge, but not that good.

Ma veniamo al sodo, dopo che ci si iscrive e si inseriscono i propri dati, si possono avviare i test di prova per ogni lingua, per poter accedere poi alle traduzioni. Ogni test può essere tentato solo due volte e si tratta di un brave testo tradotto in multiple versioni, tutte molto simili, ma differenziate da piccoli particolari di grammatica, per cui l'aiuto dei software sarà inutile, bisogna conoscere la grammatica e struttura delle frasi in quella lingua. Ho tentato e passato 3 test, Italiano-Inglese, Inglese-Italiano, Inglese(British)-Italiano, mentre ho fallito per poco Tedesco-Italiano, sul quale ho conoscenze ma non così buone.

Well, I passed three tests, obviously, I know that they are among the most common translations, and I am still waiting for the first job to come up. But it has only been two days since passing the tests, so I do not want to be hasty, but I hope the opportunity to snatch up some translation jobs comes. I know that with the chosen and known languages, I face fierce competition, and it will be difficult to find space. However, platforms of this kind are many, and maybe by trying out all the best ones, you can find constant engagements. It is undoubtedly much more valid for platforms for those who know less commonly used languages and will encounter less competition.

Bene ho passato tre test, ovviamente so che sono tra le traduzioni più comuni, infatti sto ancora aspettando che si presenti il primo lavoro, ma sono solo passati due giorni dal superamento dei test, quindi non voglio essere frettoloso, ma spero che arrivi la possibilità di accaparrarmi qualche lavoretto di traduzione, sapendo che con le lingue scelte e conosciute trovo una fortissima concorrenza e sarà difficile trovare spazio, ma le piattaforme di questo genere solo molte e magari passando un po' tutte le migliori, si riesce a trovare costanti ingaggi. Sicuramente è molto più valida la piattaforme per chi conosce lingue meno utilizzate e incontrerà minor concorrenza.

Lastly, after passing the tests, you begin to climb the ladder of your translator level, which is divided into 3 main stages, as seen in the table I have reported. The problem is that to climb up, you need to translate texts that are not yet available. If there are interesting developments, I will update you and report my experience.

Per ultima cosa, passati i test, inizia la scalata del tuo livello di traduttore, che come vedete nella tabella che ho riportato è suddiviso in 3 stadi principali, il problema è che per scalarli bisogno tradurre testi che per il momento non ho ancora trovato disponibili. Se ci saranno evoluzioni interessanti vi aggiornerò e riporterò la mia esperienza.

The second site, instead, offers rewards for writing original articles of various kinds. This platform is called melascrivi.com:

In this case, buyers request original texts based on various topics. Obviously, in this case, there are more complicated tests to pass than the previous platform. Once registered and the data is entered, you are asked to choose 8 categories of interest, which cannot be changed later. I chose the ones for which I have experience and also write about on Hive, such as photography, travel, animals, etc.

Now comes the interesting part. After selecting the categories of interest, you can start the test, which consists of writing a text of at least 250 words in 20 minutes that best expresses the topic. Various factors are considered, such as grammar, text flow, structure, and so on. In my case, I was assigned the travel and tourism category and asked to talk about the biggest music festivals.

Il secondo sito invece, offre ricompense per la scrittura di articoli originali di vario genere. Questa piattaforma si chiama melascrivi.com:

In questo caso, viene richiesto in base alle esigenze degli acquirenti di elaborare testi originali, basati sui più svariati argomenti. Ovviamente anche in questo caso, ci sono dei test da superare e sono un po' più complicati del precedente. Una volta iscritti e inseriti i dati, viene chiesto di sceglie 8 categorie di interesse, che non potranno essere successivamente cambiate. Io ho scelto quelle per cui ho esperienza e scrivo anche su Hive, come fotografia, viaggi, animali ecc.

Ora arriva il bello, dopo aver selezionato le categorie di interesse, si può fare partire il test, che consiste nel dove scrivere in 20 minuti un testo di almeno 250 parole che esprima al meglio l'argomento, verranno considerati vari fattori, come la grammatica, la scorrevolezza del testo, la struttura e via così. Nel mio caso mi è stata assegnata la categoria viaggi e turismo, chiedendomi di parlare dei maggiori festival musicali.

Quickly racking my brain, I thought of the famous Isle of Wight Festival and talked about this event as if it were a publication that extolled its characteristics and the fact that it was the last live concert of a legend like Jimi Hendrix. I wasn't completely convinced by the written text, but I managed to exceed the required words and it seemed to me that I had kept the text fairly fluent. So, with surprise and happiness, my test was approved after a few hours and I was enabled as an author for the platform. However, I have not yet found any available work, but it has only been a day and a half since my approval, so I need to be patient.

Meanwhile, while waiting for the opportunity for engagement, I am pursuing all my other projects, but I have also opened up new possible channels of income that I hope will ultimately bring something good. I wanted to share this because, with our shared passion for writing, you might find these platforms very interesting, especially because the topics are varied, ranging from finance to erotica, for example.

Spremendomi le meningi in fretta, ho pensato al famoso festival dell'Isola di Wight e ho parlato di questo evento, come fosse una pubblicazione che lo esaltasse, parlando delle sue caratteristiche e del fatto che fu l'ultimo concerto live di una leggenda come Jimi Hendrix. Non ero convintissimo del testo scritto, ma ero riuscito a superare le parole richieste e mi sembrava di aver mantenuto il testo abbastanza scorrevole, così con stupore e felicità, il mio test dopo qualche ora è risultato approvato e sono stato abilitato come autore per la piattaforma. Tuttavia anche qui, per ora non ho trovato nessun lavoro disponibile, ma consideriamo sempre che è passato solo un giorno e mezzo dalla mia approvazione, devo avere un po' di pazienza.

Nel frattempo, mentre aspetto l'opportunità di un ingaggio, porto avanti tutti gli altri miei progetti, ma ho aperto così anche nuovi possibili canali di entrata e che spero a lungo andare portino qualcosa di buono. Ho voluto condividere questa cosa perchè essendoci la passione per la scrittura che ci accomuna, potreste trovare queste piattaforme molto interessanti, anche perchè le argomentazioni sono svariate, passando dalla finanza all'eros, per fare un esempio.
