"Active on Hive or Active on Discord" Which is more beneficial ?

Since the day I joined the Steem, I was guided to make use of Discord server and interact with different users to build my identity. I carried on the same technique on Hive as well, but once @acidyo remarked me to be active on the real playground I.e the Hive platform. I made sure to remain less active on Discord.

I understood what he meant me to do. He wanted me to engage on hive through commenting and doing real engagement which could make help Hive a great place. I started doing that.

But on side I kept a close watch on the Discord server activity on timely basis and the different users therein. Now after a month of observation I noticed users who were more active on different discords servers like neoxian, tipu, threespeak and few other are more successful when it comes to reward generation. They are getting good reward for whatever they posting on Hive.

So that made me wonder, what actually is more beneficial for getting good reward....

Being active on Hive or active on Discord ??

While being active on hive, I keep appreciating other authors work and also get into sharing some insights, but by being on Discord people help each other through reward sharing as most Discord owners are high stake holders.

That is my take on the topic ....hope by putting up the question, I could get a better insights which might help me understand the bitter truth and guide me to be more active that could help me grow more.
