Fueling my body by not fueling it.

There are various ways of carrying out any work. But some people are stuck to the old traditional way completely unaware that bringing about change could help in getting a better results. We often see the new generation kids with more advanced thought process brings about new ways of doing things. These are referred as Life hacks which are getting quite essential in getting good results. A life hack is a creative, simple, or unconventional method that increases productivity and efficiency in daily life. I have associated myself with many such hacks during my working days, making things easier to operate. But when it comes to our day to days I believe keeping fasting a day in week is worth notable.

Fasting is the voluntary abstinence from some or all food, drink, or both for a specific period. Earlier It was practiced for religious, spiritual purpose but later on people recognized its significance in well being. I read somewhere that our body is a machine that performs non stop. To keep the machine running we eat various meals during the day. A person could eat all kind of food. From staple to non veg to fast food. Our body works very rapidly in churning out the body into smaller complex that helps in digestion. But in the entire process we forget that even a machine requires servicing from time to time to prevent wear and tear. We can relate it like an automobile or a bike with you. Even the automobile maker and mechanics always advised us to keep the servicing upto date for the smooth functioning of the vehicle. Like wise for our body to function properly it require a quite time to recover from the losses. And that can be done by keeping fasting.

Fasting isn’t about going hungry, it’s about going inward.

When I say abstaining from food for a days, it does not mean complete stopping from eating. For the last one decade I have observing a fruit diet days during one day of the week. I choose one particular day and abstain from earing any kind of cereals or other staple diet. I completely rely on fruits , juices and milk. The practice over the couple of years does give some positive results. While it allows me to put a ache k on body weight. It make my body more flexible and agile. Also I get rid of acidity, and constipation issue. A single day on a fruit diet can benefit the body by providing a high-fiber, nutrient-dense break from processed foods, aiding digestion and reducing bloating. Provides high doses of Vitamin C, potassium, and antioxidants, aiding in flushing toxins and protecting against cellular damage. Fruits have high water content, which helps hydrate the body.

A regular, scheduled fast helps break food addictions and reduces cravings, encouraging a more mindful approach to eating. Keeping a fast clean out damaged proteins and waste, improving immunity and supporting longevity. Unlike complex diets, a weekly fast is straightforward. You only need to focus on drinking water, juices, or fruits for one day, which is often easier than constant daily restriction. This is much mindful approach than eating anything vigorously all day long.
