Rinku Singh - Another "Rags 2 Riches" Gem

Imagine a life in a two room quarter, of LPG distribution company, monthly family income mere Rs.12000/- ($ 150). Nobody would loves to live in such condition. Everyone needs comfort. However, these hell like life make people stronger. The condition gives enough strength and courage to fight the poverty, and to sustain life in every all possible condition. There were manybsuch stories, and Rinku Singh story is nothing different. A small town cricketer belonging from a poor family, finding himself among some top cricketers and suddenly he funds himself in limelight. A talk of the town , overnight cricketing hero.

Today, many people would be looking over Internet for 20 years old Rinku Singh. He made a name for himself by hitting 5 consecutive sixes in the final over to win a thriller IPL match for Kolkata Knight Riders against Gujarat Titans. It was tremendous batting by this southpaw who kept calm under pressure and used all the muscle power, to make it possible.

The IPL has seen many stunning comebacks, it is the grand theatre after all. None had seen something like Rinku. He became the first batter to hit five successive sixes off the final over to win a match. Almost everyone had given up, except Rinku. He made it possible with so much of ease.

He is another guy, who got to fame and made it another rags to riches story. He is not blessed to have comfortable life. His father delivers LPG cylinders to homes and earns 6k-7k per months. His elder brother drives an autorickshaw while another brother works in a coaching centre. The situation was so worse that he worked for sweeping gband mopping before giving it up to try luck in Cricket. He is not educated as well. A class 9 dropout has not living a dream phase..

This season of IPL he was bought up by Kolkatta franchise for whopping Rs.80 Lacs ($1 lacs). And by giving up such performance that snatch win from the jaws of defeat, he made every penny counts. He kept his patience and did all the hard work and struggle in life for which the God is repaying now.

I always admire such raw talent, that comes up from no where and make a name for themselves with sheer determination and hardwork. They make the big platform reachable so easily. IPL does it again, to make budding cricketer dream possible. There were so many cricketer like Rinku Singh who doesn't get chance to show their skills. But with IPL around, these talents are coming up raw and fresh. Wish him all the best for future games.
