Risking Brands Goodwill At Stake - Online Shopping.

Goodwill is an accounting words whih stands for the the name and fame and reputation that company earns through their quality services or products. It is kind of intangible asset.for the company.

There are so many companies who have established themselves in the market owing to their good quality product. Though the prices is on the upper hand but considering the product quality people always tend to use them. However with the advent of online shopping and easy availability of these brands through the platform, I belive they are somewhere spoiling their reputation and the Goodwill is at stake. I am saying this after encoutering few issue with their product through online platform.

We all know that to gain profit, there are some people who duplicated the original product and bring them on the market to make huge profits. The third party platform also increase the chances of buying duplicated product as this is easy way to fool anybody. That is why it always suggested to buy genuine product through original brand store.

In last few days, I have two instances when these shopping platform left me amused. I think, I was cheated by these online platform buy supplying wrong product. Firstly it happened with #puma sports shoes and now again with #Adidas. When I tried the Puma shoes it doesn't gave me comfort in my feet as it was expected. And now again when I ordered another brand from online shopping platform, I received a old substandard product which doesnt fulfill the reputation of the brand.

Adidas is one of the pioneer sporting accessories brand in the industry and have many stores around the world. They produce some superior quality product to allow comfort to all sports man. But when I ordered the product from the online shopping platform, I received one rotten inferior quality shoes having fungus coming on it. Not only this it appears to be a used one with the laces tied up on opening the shoe box.

The box was wrapped in a rubber band , and there was no proper packaging of the shoes. No silca gel sachet, no covering, no paper cushions inside. The first impression is that I received a wrong product but on checking it appears that the shopping platform cheated on me with filthy products.

By doing this, they are not only spoiling their credibility but also bringing down the Goodwill of the popular brands. The first impression to me was that Adidas sells this type of product only and on second thought it may appear that it is thr reposnbility of online shopping platform. But considering these platform are not direct sellers of the produc, the onus of bad product hoes out to the brands that are providing them.

The product that I received is completelly an old peice that was kept lying at the store and now put on sale to sell them. But such a big brand name doesn't even care to take care of their product properly and they leave their shoes to rot like this. Just imagine having a fungi growing on your shoes. This is such a bad impression for brands like Adidas. I wish they take such cases into consideration and help themselves to regain their market standard.

After facing the issue, it is my personal recomnedation to always walk down the market to one of the original brand store and get a genuine piece, rather than shopping through online platform.
