Savoring Holiday Moments. [trek to remember]

One of the best things about the holiday season is the chance to spend quality time with our loved ones. It help us to create some forgetable moments for rest of thr life. We cherish them later remembering or recalling all the fun moments and stories associated with the holidays.

As the holidays time is approaching, I have been diving back to all my previous holidays moments. Each of them were fantastic in their own way. Holiday time is good for the upkeep of our health. Holidaying removes you from the day-to-day work stressors and responsibilities that can negatively impact our heart health. Of all the fond memories, I will hold my recent outing to Kedarnath trek as the best.

I do not need to set aside any particular time to enjoy the holiday time so does my trip to Kedarnath. It is not due to travelling to a new place or just being associated as another travel time. But I will rate the situation that makes this trip a special one in my life. I always wanted to visit the Kedarnath to offer my prayers. It is a pligrimage location. But the trip came in at a time, when I was mentally exhausted and isolated after my Dad's demise.

My Situation - Wanted a break

I was completelly in stress with many negative things happening to me. High blood pressure, unable to concentrate, disliking every bit of the life is what all going through. I was noticing all these changes in my, but unable to make decsion to get over tye doldrums. It might happens to many others as well that we loose all the interest in life, after the loss of any close pals and I was going through same phase.

I desperstelly wanted a break to set myself free from all these isolation and desperation I was going through. I went to Delhi, I went to some relatives houses but unable to find the peace that I was looking for. Everytime the picture of my Dad dying keep coming back to me. It was then my nephew pulled me for this trip and later I find the peace I was looking for

Magical nature...

Kedarnath trek is one of the toughest trek in India. The 22km trek is enough test the person physical ability as well as the mental stability. Which I understood after making it to the place. I heard many a times that, nature is great healer and I experienced it when I made it to the place. Situated in laps of nature and surrounded by green mountain the place is eternal. It is not wrong to call it a heaven on earth.
The magic of putting the effort and reaching to the target is that we will forget all the pain and suffering in achiciving the target. Even climbing to the top on foot I was not exhausted. I was not feeling tired at all and found myself full of energy. May be it was the miracle of the divine power or something else. I was in completelly different mood, all my sorrow and pain gone. The trek is in itself a big challenge. While people like to hire on ponies or mule, making to the place has its own fun.

Personality changeover.

It was kind of self sustaining yourself in all the tough situation. Looking around the breathtaking natural set up, and focusing on each of tye steps , I started to forget the things happened in my life. It was the presence of some divine power in the uphill areas that gave me immense peace and happiness. I was in juvinitional mood and enjoying every moment of the it. It was the sheer joy of making it to the top that made all the difference. By the time I came back, I was not in similar pain that used to bring tears into my eye before. Though the loss cannot be filled, but the pain was no more there.

It was one of the fondest holiday break that made me witness a completelly change over in me. I regrouped myself to my previous self and everyone in my family noticed that. Now I found a perfect place to unwind myself. The places does left a long lasting impression and I am looking forward to make it to the place when I get the oppurtunities.

Peace !!

Trips and tours are the way to escape from stress and tensions of real life. That's good that you escaped from this stressful lifestyle and made your way to kedarnath. From kedarnath, my mind is reminding me of movie.

Many times we get overwhelmed by stress and day to day life and as you mention a break is needed... I need it now.

A 22 km run really tests the physical and mental strength, it does and above all it takes away the bad vibes. It will be a holiday you will never forget.

Thanks for these pictures full of light, I love them!😃

Here too, but if it snows or is very cold in the north, it will affect the south.

It doesn't snow in my area, but 10° c is good enough to shiver you because of open area and jungle nearby

I love the landscape. I call a 22km trek an endurance trek. It does a lot in shaping one's physical and mental health. I am glad that the experience helped you to overcome all that was troubling you.
