Growing My Rising Star Account: CW30, 2024

Greetings, everyone!

Another week has passed, and I have made excellent progress in Rising Star. All personal objectives were achieved, and something was added on top.

Status of my weekly objectives:

  • I bought 48 new packs and expanded my collection.
  • I bought 104 guitar cards from the market (80 common cards, and 24 rare cards), bringing in total another 2000 luck for 112897 STARBITS) boosting my learning to 4499 points per lesson.
  • I bought 0.03 STARPRO and spent it on guitar lessons.
  • I made 1.0001 HIVE for my savings account.
  • extra: I bought from the market two epic cards that were missing from my collection - the E228 Mahogany Viola bought for 8888 STARBITS and the E216 BV2000 PA bought for 10000 STARBITS.



My ego penalty is now at 11%, but I see the gap is slightly increasing, reaching: 200699 points (1778703-1578004), an equivalent of 44 guitar lessons. It looks like spending 0.03 STARPRO per week is not enough to keep my ego under control. I will increase this to 0.04 STARPRO per week, but I will also need to rethink my strategy.

I noticed that having more fans can also lead to more ego on missions. There are a lot of factors there so maybe all that luck leading to temporary fans could hurt you.

True. Nevertheless, in my reports, I'm subtracting the temporary fans. Running a mission too often in a day increases significantly the Ego received from that mission. I'm reaching my numbers by running many 5-minute missions, and this is the effect. I will need to work on a better plan.

Yea. Those mission ego points adds up quickly. I do some of the long missions (last mission on the map) sometimes because it's long and it doesn't give you any ego. Of course, you give up some starbits potential.

What does ego penalty mean or what’s its benefit?

When your ego is higher than your skill, you get a penalty. An 11% penalty means that 11% of STARBITS income is lost with each mission.
