Hey, everyone!

The weekend has finally arrived, and I've made an exciting decision to embark on a weekend retreat. Initially contemplating the idea of a luxurious hotel with a spa to bask in comfort and warmth, I had an epiphany – the ultimate retreat involves connecting with nature, stepping out of my comfort zone, and embracing a camping adventure!


So, I opted for a destination not too far away but abundant in natural beauty to soothe my mind. The perfect spot for this kind of retreat turned out to be the Metaliou artificial lake, nestled in the city of Axioupoli in Kilkis. This serene lake was formed following the construction of a dam on a tributary of the Axios River known as Kotza Dere.

The lake's shape mirrors the Greek letter Γ, boasting side lengths of 1000 and 750 meters. With a maximum depth of 35 meters and a length stretching over 2 kilometers, it provides an idyllic setting for a tranquil escape. The decision to immerse myself in nature's embrace felt right, offering a unique opportunity to rejuvenate my spirit.


Beyond its picturesque allure, Metaliou lake is renowned for its suitability for trout fishing, adding an extra layer of charm to the retreat. As I embark on this adventure, I anticipate a weekend filled with serenity, the rustle of leaves, and the soothing sounds of nature – a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. What about you guys doing anything relaxing this weekend

I just slept this Saturday recovering from those sleep-deprived days during the weekend. For Sunday, since we will have a company event will be eating in an all-you-can-eat resto later.
