The legal battle of Craig Wright and his claim that he is Satoshi Nakamoto the person behind the creation of Bitcoin finally came to an end.
Was this a rightful claim?

Wright's case rested on a foundation of purported evidence, including cryptographic keys and documents allegedly linking him to the creation of Bitcoin. Yet, as the trial progressed, cracks began to appear in his narrative. Expert testimony and meticulous examination exposed inconsistencies, discrepancies, and outright forgeries within Wright's supposed proof.

Missteps

🚫 Forged Documents: Wright's admission that some of the documents presented as evidence were indeed forged dealt a severe blow to his credibility. The revelation cast doubt on the authenticity of his entire case and eroded trust in his claims.

🚫 Contradictory Statements: Wright's inconsistent statements and shifting narratives further undermined his position. From denying financial backing by billionaire Calvin Ayre to admitting it was a loan, his assertions lacked coherence and raised questions about his honesty.

🚫 Technical Incompetence: Wright's technical knowledge, purportedly essential for someone claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto, was called into question. Expert analysis revealed gaps in his understanding of cryptographic principles, casting doubt on his ability to have created Bitcoin.

The Verdict

The verdict was of course what everyone would have thought it would be . Craig Wright is not Satoshi Nakamoto the evidence was not enough and because of his credibility the ones that was presented were taken with caution.

But what if he was?

If the verdict was different then this would have been something that could change the entire crypto space because after that moment the only one that could use the name Bitcoin would have been Craig Wright everyone else would have to pay him Copyright . Of course he couldn't control the network but even this could cost billions of dollars to major players and at the end of the day even if he was credible enough it would have been really hard to win against those kind of interests.
