Lately, as we all know, crypto is garnering a lot of spotlight, with coins pumping left and right, and projects that were being built in the bear market are now launching their native tokens to capitalize on the rising interest. One of the projects I have been keeping an eye on in recent months is Scroll.io, so I thought of making a post about it.

Scroll Protocol is a promising Layer-2 solution, addressing the pressing issues of scalability and high transaction fees plaguing the Ethereum network. It aims to offer unlimited scalability, lightning-fast transaction confirmation, and enhanced privacy, all while leveraging zk-Rollup and innovative off-chain distributed systems.

Background
Ethereum, the decentralized hub for DApps, faces congestion issues, limiting its throughput to around 30 transactions per second (TPS). This bottleneck results in high gas fees, making transactions unaffordable for regular users. Scroll steps in to alleviate these problems by significantly reducing fees and boosting transaction speed.

zk-Rollup and Validium:

Users can choose between zk-Rollup and Validium, balancing security and cost.
