Wednesday – Season 2

In the new season, Wednesday returns to Nevermore Academy, where new faces, dangerous threats, and painful family dilemmas await her. Is the hype worth it?

• The second part of season 2 is clearly superior to the first.
• Jenna Ortega is once again wonderful.
• We wanted more Morticia Addams and we got it.
• The body swap episode with Enid is fun and enjoyable.
• Wednesday’s new dance is nice. They may have aimed to create something as viral as the first season’s, but I do not think it will quite reach that level.
• Darker this time, which I liked.
• Well crafted production.

🔴🔴🔴🔴
• The first part is quite weak.
• Lady Gaga appears in a cameo that fits naturally into the flow of the story, but her role felt indifferent to me.
• The finale, although it provides a satisfactory conclusion, I would describe as average. It did not fully convince me.
• At times, the storytelling felt overloaded.

Nobody 2

After a long period of absence, the family decides to try to reconnect with a short getaway to a themed water park filled with childhood memories for Hutch and his brother Harry. However, things do not go as planned. A seemingly minor scuffle with local bullies puts the family in the crosshairs of the park’s corrupt owner and the area’s crooked sheriff. Is the sequel worth it?

• Bob Odenkirk is good here as well. He is the heart of the film.
• It is entertaining and easy to watch.
• It has some splatter and fun scenes.
• Fast pacing.
• It is quite intense and violent, and fans of the genre will really enjoy this aspect.
• Christopher Lloyd and The RZA are once again entertaining as Hutch’s equally capable-in-combat father and brother.

🔴🔴🔴🔴
• Sharon Stone as the villain is meh 🤷‍♂️. A rather poorly written role.
• It has lost, understandably, the originality of the first film.
• From a story standpoint, it feels like it stretches the core idea a bit.
• Some of the action scenes have a more cartoonish tone.
• It could have been a bit shorter.
• The third act, which I found excellent in the first film, is meh here 🤷‍♂️.
