The Evolution Of LeoFinance

Hey guys, around 10 months ago, the new Leofinance UI was launched, marking the beginning of significant changes and a complete shift in the platform's purpose, in my opinion, for the better.

In the vast Hive ecosystem, there are several front ends, with Peakd being perhaps the most widely used. Personally, I find @ecency the easiest to navigate, and it has a mobile app that, despite occasional crashes, earns me many points. @liketu is dedicated to photography, and of course, @leofinance, which was once focused on crypto and finance but has transformed into much more over the past year.

Threads

The introduction of threads and the option to microblog on the platform was the first major step, reminiscent of Twitter. However, the success lies not in copying but in the positive outcomes. After almost a year, I believe the results have been great, with increased traffic and many users engaging in microblogging. Although the Leo.voter upvote incentive exists, it's just a tool.
An inconvenience I find with threads is the inability to post a threadstorm at once; each thread must be posted separately, with comments under the 1/ 🧵. I hope they can add a feature to post threadstorms like Twitter.

Ad-Revenue
The second aspect I appreciate is the ad revenue. Hive needs not only new users but buying pressure. @leofinance is the only project trying to bring outside money into the ecosystem, not just milking the Hive fund. I hope other front ends implement similar strategies.

Posting

We can now use @leofinance to post in any community, not just the Leofinance community.

Premium

The Premium feature, inspired by Twitter, is promising. Standing out and monetizing on that, using funds to buy Leo tokens, and creating a permanent pool for Leo-Hive can have additional benefits. Features like editing threads are helpful, and the orange checkmark, priority in "For You" feeds, Markdown styling, pinned threads, favorites menu, and themes are welcomed, even though they may not make a significant difference for me.

Curation
Finally, the curation of Leo.voter for quality posts with Premium is a no-brainer, as curation rewards practically reimburse your investment at the end of the month.

Overall, the platform has become much more user-friendly than it was 10 months ago, and I believe it will continue to improve. However, to enhance the experience further, the Leofinance team should consider creating a mobile app, which I believe is long overdue.
