The Wire Season 2

I started watching The Wire again and wanted to jot down random thoughts about season 2 which I wrapped up yesterday. Of course, SPOILERS FOR THE WIRE SEASON TWO.
-Favorite Bunny Colvin makes an appearance.
-Omar's deposition scene is epic.
-The fact that the starting point of this season is Walcek's completely vain personal rivalry with Sobotka fits harmoniously with the larger philosophy of the series that the police are completely self-absorbed and indifferent to anything other than their own party.
-D'Angelo's death, while premeditated, is so unfair and shows how cold Stringer is. His monologue about the burden of the past on the occasion of The Great Gatsby is excellent.
-Since we mentioned him, Stringer's development in this season is extremely interesting, as we clearly see that Stringer doesn't want to be the street kid who just made a living selling drugs like Avon, but wants to be a businessman.
-Ziggy is a masterfully written Fredo-type character from The Godfather II, and he too has an inevitably tragic end.
-Another sad death is that of Frank, who is the personification of the question of whether the end justifies the means. He regrets it, but it is now, unfortunately, too late. He falls as a martyr outside the port he so loved.
-I laughed so hard at the Leone reference when our protagonists are greeted by the FBI members.
-Kima is starting to become a McNulty 2. Self-destructive and unable to love anything other than her job.
-The series is so script-driven that even in scenes of huge dramatic intensity, such as Nicky's meeting with Voda, where the latter asks for loyalty in return for helping Ziggy, there is no music, intense camera movements or special shooting angles. The script speaks for itself.
-Of course, we always end up with the bitter taste that everything is in vain, because the drug and human trade continues unabated.
Let me also say a few complaints.
-How difficult was it to find people who knew Greek?
-How much of a caricature is Brother Mouzon? I'm not saying that Omar is a marginally comical character either, but that's where it went off the rails.
-Is the brilliant and flamboyant Omar so easily and simply convinced by his arch nemesis that Mouzon killed Brandon and then just as easily convinced again that Mouzon did not kill Brandon?

I can tell that you enjoyed the character development and the script-driven nature of the show. You definitely have a critical eye for storytelling. I'll give it a try. It sounds interesting.
