Three mistakes we make in our 20s

Three mistakes that a lot of people make before they hit 30.
The twenties are the best period of ones life to make mistakes, party, fail and then get back up. But what are the 3 most common mistakes that we are doing when in our 20s that could have saved us money and helped us reach financial freedom faster.

  1. Buying an expensive car.
Many people when they are at their teens and 20s have the dream of getting a nice expensive , comfortable , fast car like a BMW , MERCEDES and some others. Most wof the times when this happens you find your self with so many expenses like insurance, car maintenance gas etc etc.while still young and can't always manage money correctly and don’t always know of the hidden costs and expenses a car has. In my country and probably in most countries around the world we study many irrelevant things at school that will not be useful in our life but we never get educated about money and how to manage it well. That causes many young people who make good money in young age to spend them away. When you could buy a cheaper car save and invest the excess money and let them compound.

  2. Bad planning
A bad habit when i were young and probably for most people in their 20s was bad planning. I have spend many hours waiting in queues on doctors , banks and other agencies because i hadn't made an appointment and went last minute Or trips booked last minute and paid double to triple times the normal fare. A lot of time and money can be saved by planning things in advance.

  3. Ordering take out every day
How much money have we all spend in take outs but taking out dinner every day is a wat big expense that it is also most of the time very bad for our health , When you could buy the ingredients for your meal and start cooking and in the process acquire a new skill that can have a positive and healthy impact in ones life

You're absolutely correct. I think one thing above done is to reduce the amount of money I spend on take outs, people tend to underestimate how much they'll save from cooking their own meals and as for owning a car, I know people in th early 20s who own cars and it's incurs crazy expenses.

Three of many mistakes :D

Your twenties are a time for having fun, ideally without too much "entitlement"!

The key is learning to stand on your own two feet! Something the younger generation seem to be missing, Gov't will look after us....right?

Yeap these days it’s almost unimaginable for some one to take on more responsibility about his own life at that age

We should send them all on an "engage" course! Get them working on making themselves better!

did nothing of these yet

I have pain and am partly homeless

all in bitcoin with the little I have

If I had the money for going out or a car - I would have already doubled or tripled it and started my own permaculture project on a far away land

I had an XT 500- but rebuilt that completely - everything
it was like junk - now it has an over 50 hp engine - engine rebuild and tuning
but I could never really drive it..

I had some time I hated this life - I was really trying hard - while others just threw aways and didnt even take chances/ throw them aways... I tried everything but even when I reached it, I couldnt enjoy it
and I still struggle with my permanent pain - though it has also teached me a lot
so I'm not stuck in nihilism, but it is still very fucking hard every day

Hah I feel ya on the car, I poured way too much money into mods for my car. Wish I put that money into some investments.

I'll add watching too much porn and jerking to it. I guess if I had the expensive car in my 20s I wouldn't have made this mistake I'm mentioning about :))
