Legendary Rising Star

avatar

After playing Rising Star for a couple of years I have collected a lot of cards. As I have lots of fans I get loads of Starbits every day, so I can keep buying packs. Those are a real lottery though and the rarer cards are hard to find. I do have some contacts though who are willing to do some trades.

I now have most of the legendary people cards having just gained another today in a big trade. I have lots of duplicates of cards, including a few that are out of print and so those have value to others. I am just not looking to use my precious $HIVE on the game, so I just trade within the game. Getting the full set of these will not be easy as I am competing with others and some of the big accounts may want to keep theirs.

People

I do have all the legendary instruments now, until more are issued anyway. I actually have all the current instruments apart from some of the animated ones. Those are not useful to me in lessons and so it is hard to justify the cost. Saying that, I just checked and the latest animated Easter cards were not too bad and so I added those. That will put me over 700 unique cards.

Instruments

I am missing the latest big vehicle and there is only one left before that goes out of print. There are some on the market, but the prices are too high for my liking.

Vehicles

It is really thanks to all my unique cards that I am so high in the game rankings. I am third when it comes to uniques, but I have a lot less total cards than most people up there. I am dicing it out with @trentonlundy1 for eighth place. You get paid some SWAP.HIVE based on your rank, but it is not enough to really worry about.

Rankings

If you are looking to buy cards then it can be easiest to find them on either NFTMart or RSGFam. The latter site from top player @foxon has some neat features to track down which cards may suit you best. You can search for those that give the best value for extra fans or for unique cards you do not already have. In my case that will be mostly records and I will buy more of those.

RSGFam

I keep doing the crafting missions in hope of completing the set of production cards. I need more Gold Panels, but those are hard to come by. You can see that some parts are much more common than others. Developer Jux has mentioned providing a use for all the spares, but I guess it is somewhere down his to-do list. If I ever get them all I may go for the sets of guitar and drum cards.

Production

I guess you can say I am a little addicted to collecting these game cards, but it really just costs me a little time to kick off missions and check the markets. I know other people play for profit, but that is not my priority. I like that the game allows for different requirements and strategies.

If you are not playing Rising Star then I would recommend it. There is no cost to start playing, but it will take you a while to earn much. It is up to you if you buy some cards to accelerate that.

Rock on!

I wish it was a game that o could have stuck with but I just couldn't remember to keep playing it and I guess for me it lacked the stickiness of other games. I still liked it when I played it though. Although a tiny bit more structure/layout to playing would have been nice.

Well done on the collection though. I don't think I got any legendary players just an instrument or two I think

I liked the idea of the game from the start and it's easy enough to keep kicking off missions. I can do that from my phone too. It's just a habit now :)

I do like it when something becomes habit and you don't even have to think about it. That's the bit I failed to get to with it!

I know. They need something app-like to remind and prod the user!

It's a bit like being a train driver, pushing the pedal to keep the train moving.. 😄
BUT, trying to keep pushing it right now.. back at work.. ha ha

I think if I end up back in the office more I will find that vim to start it up again!

I run longer missions when I'm at work and try to remember when they will finish. I don't really want the noises in the office. If I'm at the PC at home it's easier. It's reward for little effort anyway.

No, that's true.. doesn't cost much effort!
I normally have sounds turned off on all sorts of things.. My boss likes all his train whistles and email bells and that.. Drives me nuts.. Lucky I work from home now for good.. haha

There's one on Rising Star that says 'You won a prize!'. Don't want that blasting out in the office. I am there 2 days most weeks now. Generally my phone is on silent.

I've not had much luck doing the crafting so I kind of gave up on it a while ago. I might have to dig into it again sometime. I don't have too many fans, so I don't usually have much luck getting starbits. It takes me a while to build up enough to do anything with them. Nice collection you have there!

I've done a lot of crafting missions, but the gold parts elude me. I am only missing 7 production cards, but they could take a while to find.
