Happy New Year

Hello Hive Learners.

Welcome to the new year.

MY NORMAL NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

Firstly I have to say that I have been crossing over and celebrating the new year in the same way ever since I was born.

It's always been the same for me year in and year out.

On new year's eve, we go to church to pray our way into the new year. It is a good thing to start the year with God leading us.

After the crossover, we'd spend the better part of midnight wishing everyone and having fun with the fireworks and the knockouts, then we go home.

Once home, I get to bed and sleep and sleep. :)

We'd all be too tired to get up for morning mass that'd be held early and so we get as much rest as possible.

Once we're all rested, we get down to the food that has been prepared in advance and it's not just one type of food we prepare, several delicacies are made to accommodate everyone's appetite and tastes.

Another part of the new year's celebration I have been practicing is the receiving and sharing of food to neighbors and friends that care to visit. It's usually fun trying out different dishes.

Also, we may decide to go visit an immediate family member as a way of celebrating the new year. A brother or a sister who's eager to host the whole family for the new year's celebration which would eventually lead to a lot of fun activities, not the type of activities I'd like to do on my own but it'd be an experience all the same.

Afterwards, as a family we either stay indoors or go out on agreement which I am always cool with either way.

I'd spend the day just relaxing until it passes and that would be the end of it and we'd move on.

MY IDEAL NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

I think it's safe to say that I am already bored with the same manner of celebrating new year's day every year and I most definitely would love to do a lot to change that.

Firstly, I would cross over to the new year in a different continent. I'd love to experience how people in a different continent usher in the new year and how the celebration of new year's day is done. I have done a lot of the same thing for years and would so much love to do something different in a different environment.

Yes, I love to travel.

Another way I'd love to celebrate the ideal new year's day would be to behold a proper fireworks show. It'd be done in the night or evening or even new year's eve, as long as I get to witness a live fireworks show I don't mind really.

I have never had the opportunity to witness a proper fireworks show firsthand and I don't think such a thing is done here in my lovely country which is why I would love to have such an experience at least once in my life.

An ideal and perfect new year's celebration would be doing things different from what I have been doing all these years, the things I love to do. The things I'd love to see and a lot of other fun activities that'd make it a memorable start of the year.

I still love the idea of staying indoors and cozying up to my books or movies and plenty of food, trust me it's really nice but I think it's high time I did something different to see if doing other stuff will appeal to me greatly.

I'd love to experience a white ~christmas~ slash New Year, which means everything gets to be white including the weather (snow) and the environment, it's something that gives the celebration a magical feel.

It adds to the beauty.

The new year's celebration will be a sort of avenue for me to discover what I truly love doing, mostly outdoorsy activities and also to get the experience of different ways of celebrating the new year in different places and cultures. I would love to make memories that would be with me till the end of the year, memories that would warm my heart whenever I remember them.

The new year is all about making beautiful memories.

Doing away with the monotonous way I have been celebrating the new year would really make me happy and I look forward to making those memories.
