Few Lessons I Learned from Crypto in 2021
made with Canva
I can remember when I started learning about crypto. It was a complete disaster, I was. Everything was overwhelming. I couldn't wrap my head around the simplest bit. It was back then during the days of steemit. I did come across a challenge with a couple of questions, one of which was the question of when one first found out about crypto. Basically, Steemit paved the way for everything. I started off doing airdrops and all that stuff, back then in 2017. Eventually, I focused more on blogging, Steemit, then Hive, because it was the place where I found peace and satisfaction. I haven't done so much on crypto since then but last year taught me a lot. So I'd share with you guys some of the lessons.
Save some, Stake some, Invest some, Give-back, eat some.
All I did during my first few years in crypto was spend. Spend, spend, spend all of my earnings. I didn't realize one could stake one's asset, which is actually one of the various ways one can earn from the blockchain. It's always a good idea to have someone you listen to and learn from in this space. Somewhat look up to. After getting the advice of staking, and saving, a lot of changes happened in the coming years. 2021 saw the biggest. I started investing, saving, staking and giving back to the community in cash and in kind.
DO NOT FOMO
In all honesty, I just learnt the term a few months ago, haha. I realized I made a couple of bad decisions and I believe it can be attributed to the Fear of Missing Out. One very significant one was the Wakanda Inu token. I didn't get the information about the presale, so I didn't buy any. A few days later the token did a 200x and it kept going. I bought The Bull Run (yeah I know, I am a complete noob) and boy did that crash badly. I didn't use a lot of funds though, but I lost over 70%. Well, I find respite in the fact that it's a good project and one I am in support of.
Find a good community. Stick with it
Hive is a perfect example here. After the whole steemit saga, I was on the hunt for a community that would fit my content and also be social and friendly. You know, a safe space for me. I went on and about from whaleshares, to weku, to appics, etc. Eventually, I settled for Hive. My home. I put all my energy into Hive instead of putting everything everywhere.
Take Profits
Everybody just about knows this. When you do a 10x, or more, you take your profit. I one time got a 40% increase on one of my low cap assets, I felt it was going to do more. Yes, I was wrong.
2021 was a great year, just after coming from the back of 2020. I believe 2022 would be better. THIS IS NOOB TALK. I DON'T KNOW SHIT. I am only just sharing my opinions and all. Thank you for reading. Cheers

Agreed.
We go stronger 💪
Takes awhile to explain crypto to people
Oh yeah it does 😅
Especially if they don't have an open mind
Hmmm best idea is to stake and invest. That's the scope to accumulate much
