Street Photography on the ISLAND

Today I went for another interview for a supervisory role for this fancy food and hospitality company. I hope the position comes with lots of food. That's the only thing I'm looking forward to 😅. I've been trying to do more of street photography these days. I don't usually take my DSLR around for security reasons. In this part of the world, doing street photography can go really badly, but my phone comes in handy. Even using my phone to take photos poses a threat, but one has to master the art of disguise in the Nigerian street photography industry, lol. My city is divided into two; the mainland (which I stay), and the Island. They are both sepperated by a big bridge (3rd mainland bridge). The Island is called that for obvious reasons; it's surrounded by water. The Island is also where all the big companies are situated. Although Lagos city (my city) is not the capital of Nigerian, it's the most populated and the state with the most industries and the most thriving economy. It's THE city of the country. Every big celebrity or tourist/visitor goes there. I guess the beautiful edifice, sculptures and sceneries is also a reason. Today, I couldn't help but get some photos while returning home.

It's a place filled with a lot people too. People doing the white collar jobs, people doing the menial Jobs, traders and bus drivers, etc. Every category of people, from the highest ranking to the least all dwell here. It's a beautiful place. The serenity is one to relish too. I think my mobile camera did a very decent job. What do you think?.

Yes, your mobile phone did a great job at capturing the photos @stevenson7
Sorry to hear about the security troubles and that you can’t walk around with your DSLR camera.
Good luck with the interview 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Great photographs of the life there and some buildings. They look good in black and white.
Thanks for sharing! 👋🏻☀️ Have a great Friday.

3rd mainland bridge

God only knows (and Google maybe) where the 1st and 2nd are, lol.

Else, you might have some crazy individual walk up to you and say/do some crazy things to you, especially if they had not eaten that morning.

It's THE city of the country

It's the LA of Nigeria.

The serenity is one to relish too.

You lost me here.

Man, I do not know the mobile phone you used, but Lagos be looking pretty in black & white with these shots.

I hope you get the job, and probably invite me for a sneak. Nice shops even with a phone it looks perfect.
