Series 17 lego minifgures a few nice surprises £££

Introduction

OK here we are, another week and another bag of figures. Now I was in the Lego store in Brighton a few weeks ago and I saw the new series of Lego figures. Now I am not sure how many of you have ever got a minifigure bag and tried to work out just by touch what was in there? I mean we used to do it a lot if we wanted a particular figure. Some, depending on their accesory, were easier than others. Well I have to say this is no more as they have now put them in little boxes so you cant feel you way around to what figure it is! I am not sure I like it although it stops the people who trad in lego figures getting the rarer ones I guess, bit it has taken a bit of fun away in the process.

Last night we were looking at the Series 17 minifgure collection. We don't have too many doubles on this one and have most of the figures. I like the mysteryman idea in this series as you did not know what you were getting until you found one in a pack. There are some nice figures in this set, I mean it has a surf board shark and a baby rabbit....what more do you want?

The mystery man £4.08
Rocket boy £15.64 x 2
Vet £3.39
Strongman £1.65
Yupie £1.81
Gladiator £2.55
pro surfer £2.03
Battle dwarf £2.47
Corn cob guy £3.67
Connoisseur £1.71
retro space hero £2.06 x 3
Butterfly girl £3.36
Hotdog vendor £2.45

Total - £66.95

Ok big up to the rocket boy who is a winner in this set. Very surprised about that one and really lifts the price up. Having a look on ebay though many of these figures sell for more than what brick monkey is saying which is very good news! Overall I would say this is one of the best bags we have opened so far. Role on Series 18!

I've been saying for a while that someone should set a date for a Brighton meetup. I'd try to get there.

All we need is a venue, I don’t know Brighton all that well, so open to ideas 😀

I need to laugh 😂 because I just shared an article about my Lego collection. I've been thinking about starting to collect minifigures too, but I'm worried about affording more Lego sets if I do. Every Sunday, there's a market where people sell used stuff, including minifigures. I usually try to only buy vintage Star Wars minifigures. Right now, I'm searching for a chrome gold C-3PO, but it's really expensive on bricklink so, there is no way I will find this on some market 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

there are small marketplaces every Sunday in Graz, Austria, but the best ones are near Graz at Schwarzlsee. It's the biggest flea market, but it doesn't happen every month. There's a lot to see, and if you dig deep you'll definitely find something. That's where I bought my collection of Simpsons minifigures.

I don't know anything about the mini figures other than my grandsons have some and you collect them. When you say you get them in the Brighton store, are those current series or do they sell bags of end of line or something?

Sometimes but they don’t do many sales there! Always a good place to take the kids though

The rocket boy's are a sweet find! Nice. I haven't seen the mystery man before either! I posted up some of my mini-figures up yesterday, the one's from the infamous thrift store bin!

I guess I should go through the 100 pound bin of legos that I used to step on all the time when the kids were little!
