Celebrating 2022 on Hive and what we have achieved - what a year!

Introduction

We love Hive and it has been a honour to have been on Hive for the whole of 2022. It really is a creative space and it is good to reflect on how our year has gone on the blockchain. We have met some amazing people and projects which have been an inspiration. So many people have supported us on our journey and one of the things that makes Hive so good is the generally community and family feel.

It has also helped us develop as content creators and think about all of the digital content we have. We have been sharing our new music, posts about our equipment and processes, our every growing music playlists, our gifs and also about about our favourite game Rising Star.

Music

We never thought we would have so many music NFTs out there. We really did not think that if we did we would sell literally hundreds of NFTs, which we have. Over the course of 2022 we have sold music on 2 main sites Rising Star and NFT Tunz. It has been great posting about our music and especially about some of the equipment and processes, this has made us think and consider what and how we are doing it.

As I said we also have NFT music available on NFT Tunz which is still a relatively new site being developed especially for musicians! What has been a great recent edition to this site is the ability to buy credits with Pay Pal so that anyone can buy NFTs!

Gifs

As some of you know we started making gifs when we joined Hive we now have over 170,000,000 views and are trending.... You can check out our Giphy channel or search stickupboys in any gif search to find some! I think many of the discord chats have been an inspiration! We have been sharing our Gifs regularly and like doing little stories using them. We have made and promoted quite a number of Hive projects from @brofund, @risingstar, @proofofbrainio, @loudandproud, @cinetv along with many others. We hope that by getting millions of views we are helping to promote Hive outside of the Hive eco system. We do currently have a back log of Hive projects that have asked us for Gifs and will be doing lots of new collections soon.

Onboarding

We have started onboarding a few people and now have a well document set of process notes to onboard more musicians, actors and artists to Hive. Not only that we are also developing systems to keep them coming back for more and fully engaging within the community. We really would like to thank @ocd for their support in this as a few nice votes does make a big difference to how people feel about doing a bit more and engaging a little bit. We have onboarded most of the Stick Up Boys now and have @stickupcash @stickupmusic @ministickupboy and @stickupofficial1 we have also onboarded @gideonreeling @philsaatchi @djjamesblack @biggmusic @ambrosechappel and even though you would not know it as he knows more about Hive now than us we onboarded @tdctunes. We think that things like @threespeak @liketu and @dbuzz are great opportunities to onboard people and we can use these to onboard many more people in 2023.

Curation

One of the things we really wanted to do was to be able to curate great art and music on Hive and have a vote that makes a difference. By working with @brofund and their new token Legion we are finally developing a curation account that can really support this. So far we have over 160K HP delegated to us and it is growing quickly. So thank you to everyone who has already delegated to us and is earning 15% APR on their delegations! If you want to delegate just delegate to @stickupcurator

Investments

I am not sure we have actually made any money, especially with prices changing so much and Hive been a bit low at the moment, although we seem to have developed quite a Hive portfolio. After making a err few mistakes we have found some good projects we trust and have invested a bit in during our journey.(Not financial advice obviously). Our Bro and Legion are going from strength to strength and deffo worth checking out @brofund. We also generally get involved with anything @ecoinstant does with his Income fund among others. The @hivebuildercomps defi and SCV also have seemed like a safe pair of hands. We also like stacking @gerber projects like SIM and BXT as well as @silverstackeruk Eds Miners and Eds tokens. The @cartel-bank also seems like a great project and invests in games. Although we have also invested in @splinterlands @risingstargam @genesisleague @woogame as well as few others. We are hoping that all these investments will pay off in 2023
