Three tune Tuesday and this week we are all about surprises!

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts @stickupmusic has been doing it but I though I would join in too. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do!

Our picks

This week we are all about what we can find on Mini Stick Up Boys playlist. Spotify playlists and who can find the best song is a big thing in our house. Who gets to to DJ at home or in the car is also a much coveted position. However as we love new music we let Mini SUB introduce us to some new music. We are not sure where he finds them all but am guessing a lot are from Tik Tok. He has various playlists so I am having a listen and picking up some fresh music, which is one of the reasons I like 3 Tune Tuesday so much!

Song 1

"The Drums" who are they,m what are they? They seem to have an infectious indie pop sound which just rolls along in a quite lovely vibe. There is not that much info about them on quick look although they seem to be a New York based indie pop band. I am definitely going to explore this group a bit more as it harks back to 90's indie music with a modern twist.

Song 2

OK it is not a nice title.... "ThxSoMch - SPIT IN MY FACE!" is an interesting little number. I like the vibe of this one. I love the vocal production on this tune and it again rolls along with a hypnotic vibe. I find the kick drum a little tricky as I wished they had tuned it a bit better....is that just me am I too fussy? I am kind of curious what kind of Tik Tok videos this has to go with it.....might not be nice!

Song 3

Now Space Song by beach house he has had on alot. It has some lovely layers of music on it with organs and slide/lap steel guitar. Not sure how they got to use 2001 film footage for the video. However this is a lovely song to drift away to, with some definitely 70's roots I have to say this is going on on of our playlists.
