What a perfect prompt for a diary like entry, in which I talk about my current travels. I'm in Maryland at the moment. It's hot and humid here, which actually feels really nice to sit outside in. I tried sitting outside just a little bit ago, but the mosquitoes drove me back indoors to the air conditioning. I stepped outside yesterday evening, beckoned by my friend Alyssa (whom I'm visiting) to look at the clouds. They were lovely. Andrew (also my friend, and Alyssa's husband) and I stayed outside a few minutes past when Alyssa went back in. I was looking at the chickens and at their garden beds. But then it was getting dark, and I kept swatting mosquitoes off my legs. I don't feel itchy today, thankfully, but I do have at least six mosquito bites, mostly on my right leg. If I couldn't see them (the bites), I wouldn't have even realized I got bit. I wonder if they'll start to itch later, or if I'm just lucky. Maybe I'll go for another walk later to enjoy the weather some more. The mosquitoes don't seem to come after me when I'm in motion. So yeah, that's my mosquito story of the past couple days. I'm a bit tired. It was too easy to stay up last night because I'm used to west coast time. I've gotten too used to being tired, maybe. My brain and body don't know to seize rest as quickly as I can grab it. I should have gone to sleep at 11pm ET and gotten up earlier than I did. Oh well. I've got tonight.
