COIN REVEAL: Scottsdale Mint 5oz Stacker Round

Today's coin reveal post features the 5oz Silver Stacker Round struck by Scottsdale Mint. This is my second post in a series of posts that I am doing about the coins, bars and rounds produced by Scottsdale Mint.
Scottsdale Mint is a precious metals mint located in Scottsdale, Arizona in the USA. They manufacture and distribute amazing precious metals coins, bars and rounds direct to the consumer via their online website. Every product that I have seen produced by Scottsdale Mint is of exceptional quality and design, the company states that they have 'a strict quality policy and only create products that exceed the highest standards of purity, weight, quality, and craftsmanship'.

1. Coin Story
The 5oz Silver Stacker round has ultra high relief definition of the design of the round. This ultra high relief gives these rounds the ability to stack and interlock with each other. Ultra high relief coins and rounds has become a precious metals class of their own. The detail that is achieved by ultra high coins and round is truly astounding.

2. Coin Packaging
Individual rounds are shipped in protective plastic packaging. When purchasing multiple rounds, they come packaged in tubes of 5 rounds per tube, which equates to 25oz per tube. Although these rounds have the same diameter as your standard round or coin of 39.3mm, I do not believe there is a third-party provider that would have a plastic capsule or similar that you could use to store each individual round.
If you do choose to handle your Scottsdale 5oz Silver Stacker round, it is highly recommended that you use white cotton gloves to protect your silver round from tarnishing.

4. Coin Design
a. Reverse Design
The reverse of the coin depicts the Scottsdale lion logo indented into the round. Bordering the head of the lion the weight "5 Troy Oz", purity ".999 Fine Silver", coin name "Stacker Round" and mint name "Scottsdale Mint" are engraved into the round.

The obverse of the coin features the ultra high relief Scottsdale lion logo, wearing its distinctive crown, staring back at you. Surrounding the lion head are radial lines that help to emphasise the Ultra High Relief detail of the design.

50oz! That's one massive round.
I got a few of the Smaller Stacker rounds and are so cool I wish had more of them. If you first get them order at least a pair so you can enjoy stacking as it was meant to be.
Happy Stacking!
