Alix & Nina by SK17 [SPA/ENG]

Hola, espero estén teniendo un lindo día. Hace poco mientras revisaba mis cosas, encontré un boceto que había olvidado por completo y admito que me emocioné un montón al verlo, pues tenía muchas ganas de dibujar y no había podido. Lamentablemente agoté mi reserva de cartulinas blancas, por esa razón, he dejado a un lado el arte tradicional temporalmente... Algo que me ha afectado más de lo que esperaba, sinceramente.

Hi, I hope you are having a nice day. Recently while going through my things, I found a sketch that I had completely forgotten about and I admit that I was very excited to see it, because I wanted to draw so much and I hadn't been able to. Unfortunately I exhausted my stock of white cardboard, for this reason, I have temporarily put aside traditional art... Something that has affected me more than I expected, honestly.

Por eso he estado buscando entre mis cosas, tratando de encontrar algún dibujo sin terminar o algo por estilo... Cualquier proyecto que consideré fallido en su momento y que tal vez hoy, sienta que puedo sacar adelante. He estado muy mente abierta en este sentido, ya que mis ganas de dibujar son enormes y a su vez, el material en el que dibujo, inside demasiado en la cantidad de libertad y comodidad que puedo llegar a tener a la hora de crear.

That's why I've been looking through my things, trying to find some unfinished drawing or something like that... Any project that I considered failed at the time and that maybe today, I feel I can take forward. I've been very open minded in this sense, since my desire to draw is enormous and at the same time, the material I draw on, affect too much in the amount of freedom and comfort I can have when creating.

Lo que más disfruto es mezclar técnicas, por eso las hojas de papel me frustran tanto, pues considero que son muy fáciles de dañar. A mí me gusta diluir la tinta de los marcadores, es algo que hago en la mayoría de mis dibujos y de vez en cuando, uso acuarelas... En las hojas no puedo ocupar estas técnicas, al menos no sin malograrlas.

What I enjoy most is mixing techniques, that's why sheets of paper frustrate me so much, because I consider them very easy to damage. I like to dilute the ink of the markers, it's something I do in most of my drawings and from time to time, I use watercolors... On the leaves I can't use these techniques, at least not without damaging them.

Dicho eso, volveré a hablar del dibujo de hoy y a decirles un par de cosas sobre él. Para empezar, usé una cartulina opalina, un lapicero negro, marcadores, pintura acrílica escarchada y lápices de colores. Incluí en el diseño a Alix y a Nina, personajes que creé hace más de dos años y les tengo un montón de cariño, me apena no haberlas dibujado más hasta el momento... Me pasa tanto con ellas, como con el resto de mis personajes y bueno nada, espero poder crear más material relacionado con todos ellos y puede que algunos nuevos también.

That said, I'll get back to today's drawing and tell you a couple of things about it. For starters, I used opaline card stock, a black pen, markers, acrylic glitter paint and colored pencils. I included in the design Alix and Nina, characters I created more than two years ago and I'm very fond of them, I'm sorry I haven't drawn more of them so far... It happens to me as much with them, as with the rest of my characters and well nothing, I hope to be able to create more material related to all of them and maybe some new ones too.

Tengo muchos planes geniales que eventualmente concretaré, por los momentos estoy un poco frenada por la parte económica, pero mis ideas parecen ilimitadas y me he asegurado de anotarlas muy bien, de hacer los bocetos respectivos y estoy emocionada por todo lo que se me ha ido ocurriendo, solo diré que se vienen cosas muy chéveres relacionadas a mi marca SK17.

I have many great plans that I will eventually realize, at the moment I'm a little slowed down by the economic part, but my ideas seem unlimited and I've made sure to write them down very well, to make the respective sketches and I'm excited about everything that has been occurring to me, I'll just say that very cool things related to my brand SK17 are coming.
