My Savings method to me was simple & easy & there's not amything I will change about my method in 2023. I will buy what I need weekly to fulfill the savings goals I set forth for myself. However, there will be changes to my savings goal.

The Year In Review

As for the year in review I feel I did a great job to build up my savings. I started this late in the year, in mid August, and I set forth I grew nicely and was able to save more than expected.

With just 20 weeks to save I tried to make my goals as simple as possible not to overwhelm myself or my pockets.

At the start of this I was shooting for 40 EDSMM, 20 in HBD savings, 200 HBD, & 20 Hive worth of BXT.

At years end I was well over my intended goals. The only thing that fell a little short was HBD.

When Hive is down, it becomes a little more difficult to transfer to HBD cause it takes more Hive as opposed to when it's close to the same value. That was a lesson learned, something that I had mot considered when I set my goals for savings. A The chart below shows my year ends totals.

The only thing that stands in the way is having enough USD to get the crypto. I love saving and doing it this way, I'm sure to keep it & not dip into it when I want something else, I love to shop too. I'm trying to earn the hive to cover most of it but I haven't been able to do that just yet, I'm looking into ways of earning more hive so then I won't have to worry about how I'm going to buy the other crypto.

Getting upvotes used to be a struggle for me too. I started visiting different communities, followed people who made frequent post and made higher amounts of tokens. I also started making post in other communities on a regular basis and made comments on their post. Then some started following me, and they started upvoting my content as well.
Also, I noticed that you have quite a few post that have like 'Day 1, Day 2, etc.' a lot of people tend to skip these type of post.
Check out the CTP community and follow some of those who do frequent posting and comment & upvote their stuff. Eventually they will start to notice you & upvote some of your stuff.
One other thing, have you ever thought about doing a regular post on your goals on hive? People tend to look at those types of posts and upvote you. Share how your portfolio is growing. This is some of the things you can try & don't give up after a week or so, cause it takes time, but I believe these tactics do work & there are so many more. Remember to keep doing what you're doing cause it's working but add some new stuff it will help. One other thing, visit 'LadiesofHive' community, 'LMAC' community & the 'Freewrite' community & participate in their contests and daily activities, these communities are ver suppotive. I could go on but I'll stop here, don't want to overwhelm you.
Take your time, things will start to come together for you. Hang in there.

Nice update, and on the whole it loos like you did pretty well to me. It has been difficult for HBD this year, thats why I focused on HIVE, and will then buy back into HBD assuming the price will improve at some point ! Anyway, bets of luck for 2023 !

Thanks! I think I did fairly well too. Near the end when I realized that it was costing more & more of my Hive to convert to HBD, that's when I slowed up on converting. I will continue to convert a small amount of Hive each week & get whatever I get in HBD. I have a subscription coming out of HBD, so I have to keep converting to be sure that's covered at least but I'm not sure that I will make it a part of my savings plan this year.

I'm kinda a go with the flow type of person, so I don't get caught up in things, I don't like to say I'll do something to find I can't especially when it involves money so I'll keep doing things the way I do. It keeps it easy.
